Question what’s the average time it is taking for pre-determination hearings. When my rating was dropped from 100% down to 10% so many factors were not included in the 10% so I submitted the request for a pre-determination hearing. The DAV is suggesting that that was AI that did that and now someone else will take a closer look and use the regs to rate the actual percent I should be.
Has anyone tried making a supplemental claim for ptsd but was initially for a different diagnosis of adjustment disorder with anxiety and depressed mood? Did you get the ptsd diagnosis from the C&P exam? How did it work out in the end?
Civilian woman in tech here. I realized most of my exposure to military life comes from media, history, memorials, news coverage... which probably creates a pretty distorted picture of what the actual lived experience is like.
I’m curious what day to day military life and culture is really like for women who’ve served. What parts do civilians tend to over-romanticize or misunderstand? What parts feel meaningful vs mundane in reality? And for those who transitioned out, what was it like adjusting back to civilian life afterward?
Not looking for anything overly personal or traumatic. Just genuinely interested in hearing perspectives from people who’ve actually lived it rather than the public-facing version of it.
