BodyScan 2

So, my BS2 just arrived. And I have to say WOW. The packaging was as good as usual, and the materials are very high quality. Setup (on iOS) went smoothly.

I unpacked the scale (it's much more than that) and immediately plugged it into a charging cable to fully charge it. Then I disposed of the cardboard box and cleaned the area where the scale would go. Once that was done, I sat down next to the scale, opened the (latest) Withings app, and pressed the button on the back for 3 seconds. A code for the Bluetooth connection was then displayed, which I had to confirm by entering it on my phone. A firmware update was then downloaded immediately; the current version is "1081". Then came the Wi-Fi setup, which also went without a hitch.

Then came all the activations for "hypertension alerts," ECG (there was a short questionnaire here: "Are you older than 22? Do you suffer from diagnosed high blood pressure? Do you have a pacemaker? Are you pregnant?").

And that was basically it. The first measurement went very, very well, and even the pulse wave velocity was recorded (which hadn't worked twice this morning with the BS1).

I have one more question (for those who already have the scale): when the ECG is recorded, the thumb is illuminated with red light. For me, this only happened on the left side; was that the same for you?

So far (and we're still using beta firmware), I'm really very satisfied with the device. And I'd say that's true both now and in the future. Anyone who likes body metrics will be very happy with the BodyScan 2. The display is very easy and comfortable to read. Withings proved with the BS1 that they provide good firmware updates for their devices.

An upgrade it's worth it.

Bodyscan Insider Program Insight

Holy co, the price point for this thing is just extraordinary. When I first saw it, I was just like, " no freaking way." It’s so much money for a scale, it's actually insane. But then I thought, once in my life I'm gonna do this. It was some kind of impulse. If not now, then never. I don't even know why I’m spending this much, but I need to know if it’s real

I mainly bought it for my visceral fat. I am in my first real cut after being a thin person my whole life. The last year I overdid itwith unnecessary bulking.

AMA?

Edit: I am an Idiot. But I can't change the Title. It is about the Bodyscan 2!

BS2 Early Access for US customers

Just got this email - unfortunately the link doesn't go anywhere but to the regular Body Scan scale to order.

Hopefully they fix it soon.

EDIT: May be an error on their part - my US account got an email to purchase this, but a close examination shows the discount offered was in Euros?

It's confusing because I was offered a spot on this several months ago when it goes live for giving feedback on one of their products, but nothing ever arrived.

Scanwatch Nova in 2026?

I can't find any review for the current Scanwatch Nova model, nor any comparison with previous years models. The latest review on Nova I could find was 3 years ago, which might no longer be valid.

Anyone recently purchased it? (~3 months back) How has the accuracy of the readings improved? It had really bad reputation regarding accuracy and irreplaceable components so I wonder if that has changed this year.

I LOVE the idea of anti-smartwatch and the smart features I need in a smartwatch is limited but I need accuracy, which should be expected in that price point. Really need some help before putting the money down

Just ordered a ScanWatch 2. what are the 'hidden gem' features most people miss?

Basically title. Bought it based on my own research that just indicated it was the best feature set and a style that I liked that was HSA eligible. So before it arrives I wanted to find out a bit more on the under advertised or utilized features.

Thanks!!

ios 26.5 notifications scanwatch

[iOS][$9.99 -> $4.99 lifetime] WeightSync Scales : Your smart scale weight, synced to Strava – zero effort

Hi everyone, I'm the solo developer of WeightSync Scales, an iOS app that automatically syncs your smart scale weight to Strava -- so your W/kg is always up to date without any manual entry.

What it does:

  • Smart Scale Integration: Connect your Withings or Fitbit scale directly to the app. Every time you step on the scale, WeightSync Scales reads the measurement from your scale's cloud and pushes it to your Strava athlete profile automatically. No tapping. No typing.
  • Automatic Sync: Weights are pushed to Strava without any manual action on your part. The app works even when closed, with background sync running silently in the background.
  • Retry Queue: If a sync fails (no internet, API hiccup), the measurement is queued and retried automatically. Nothing gets lost.
  • Smart Reminders: Gentle nudges on days you haven't stepped on the scale -- useful for athletes trying to build a consistent tracking habit.
  • Units: kg, lbs, and st -- your choice, we handle the conversion.
  • Languages: English, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and more.

This is a solo project, and I'm still actively building it. Garmin scale support is coming soon.

Pricing:

Free to download. Premium unlocks unlimited syncs, the automatic retry queue, smart scale integration, and the Watch app.

---

If you're a cyclist, triathlete, or any athlete who tracks W/kg on Strava and owns a Withings or Fitbit scale, this app was made for you. Would love any feedback - and if you give it a try, a review on the App Store goes a long way for a solo dev.

Thanks for reading!
