It doesn’t display although the tv at first recognises that something is connected then it shows no signal. I can get it to the sync page but it needs a code that I can’t see. When I try to get to the Wii u menu it just says couldn’t connect to the Wii u. Turn it off then turn it on closer to the console. I probably got scammed. although I doubt the seller knew what was wrong with it other than it not displaying which I was aware of. If anyone knows what is wrong or if there is a fix please let me know. If you’re just gonna rub it in my face that I got scammed please don’t bother commenting, I almost never actually get help on here, other than people saying stuff unrelated to the issue. Can I connect controller and nunchuck to Wii U and have the same experience like I'm playing Wii but with more power and headroom for emulation? I was planning on buying and modding Wii but if Wii U can give me same experience with more headroom power vise for emulation I would rather get that one. I heard nothing but the worst about Wii U but from looking around it just looks to me like it's wii+ with special controller. I'm not sure am I missing something or are there some other drawbacks I missed. Some time ago I bought new 3ds xl and modded it but that's my only experience/knowledge about Nintendo consoles. The idea is that 3ds would have well 3ds and all other consoles it can emulated and for at home Wii u would have everything that 3ds is not powerful enough to emulate.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've just modded my Wii U and started to install games on it.
But a weird thing I've noticed is that when I remove games from the install-folder after installation the space doesn't come back. When I try to move new games from my PC to the SD card I get an error stating that my SD card is almost full.
The games are installed on NAND and USB on my Wii U btw.

You can now use a USB flash drive or HDD instead of an SD card for homebrew. Since the entire setup happens on the Wii U, you don't need to download files or format your storage on a PC first.

How to do it

Make sure the date is set correctly on your console. Then just go to https://wafel.xyz in the Wii U web browser and click Launch. The wafel installer will guide you through the process, including:

• Formatting the USB or SD (if needed)
• Downloading Aroma + Homebrew App Store
• Downloading Stroopwafel CFW
• Installing ISFShax to load Stroopwafel and Aroma

NOTE: This also gives you the option to partition your drive so you can use it for Homebrew, vWii, and Wii U games all at the same time.

Things to keep in mind

• Skip the PC formatting: Don't pre-format your USB / SD on a PC; the wafel installer creates a better layout than PC tools do. The only reason to use a PC is if you want to use the SD / USB for Wii U games and it already have a FAT32 partition with data on it that you want to keep. In that case, just shrink the partition and let the installer handle the rest.
• Brick Protection: If you want to use ISFShax for brick protection, you’ll still need an SD card to actually perform an unbrick (but you can just grab one if that ever happens).

hi Yall, will i be able to re use my wii hard drive (With modded games) on a modded wii U? I think it will be able to work considering the wii U can play wii games but since this is my first wii U, im not sure.

Recently bought new remotes and nunchucks for my twilight princess for the Wii, I do only have a Wii U and no sensor bar so I used the gamepad, but every five seconds the controller disconnects, should I just buy the Wii U twilight princess? I really need help here if I’m doing something wrong

Recently my disk drive broke in my GameCube and I really want to play GameCube games so I want to either get a Wii or a Wii u I know that the Wii u can Play GameCube games when I mod it I'm honestly leaning more towards the wii u but I want to know if I can play GameCube games multiplayer on the u or should I just get a Wii also can I play nba street 3 on a modded wii u

i've been going at this for a couple hours and have tried an external 128 gb ssd, 128 gb flash drive, and 64 gb flash drive - all have been formatted to fat32 using guiformat with a 32 kb allocation size (i have also tried different allocation sizes and formats) yet every single time i go to format them on the wii u i get "the device could not be formatted"

i'm trying to set up an external game drive, i'd appreciate if anyone has a fix or if there's a way to get my drive formatted on windows

The Wii U might have sold terribly, but it was instrumental in paving the way for Nintendo to succeed.

I've tried 5 different USB 2.0 Ethernet adapters and none work. 2 were recommended years ago but they must have updated the internals since then.

(Also if anyone has ever used one...you just plug it in after hitting wired connection right?)
