My wife had been growing this for a year or longer and I accidentally killed it. Would like to surprise her with a replacement
I wasn’t thinking. It sat on the window and I opened it after smoking up the kitchen with some steaks not thinking about how cold it was outside.
I feel like it’s some sort of monstera, and I think she paid a bit for it. I don’t know if it is rarer or just hard to grow. I do know it grew very slowly as it’s over a year old in this pic and the pot is like 4”. I know she only watered it with water that had been sitting in the open for a long time. I don’t know if any of this is helpful lol
Any help is much appreciated!
South georgia
I live in Southeast georgia by the satilla river and this plant just popped up after a rain. never seen any wildflower that resembles this, also it's growing in a patch of land that was recently cleared so not sure if the extra sunlight activated it or what but it is really pretty.
Help! Seeds are all mixed up!
Hello, someone I love is beside herself because her hobby is "ruined". long story short: our toddler got a hold of her seed packets, opened all of them, and poured them all out into a bowl. we've been separating them for days into piles based on their size and appearance to hopefully ID as groups later
here is a picture of some of the seeds. any help in identifying ANYTHING in the picture would be helpful.
There was a packet of mixed flowers, but the rest were all basic vegetables and herbs. Here are the seeds we know are in this mix: Zucchini, broccoli, carrots, dill, basil, string beans, mixed flower packet, zinnias, spinach, lettuce, possibly cauliflower. I think that’s it but there may be others.
One of the oddest flowers I've seen to date
Found at UCF Arboretum. Look how its just like these random gorgeous flowers growing straight from the ground. No like leaves just a stem and so low 😄just flopped over. and all by themselves, nothing around!
Weird thick green thing?
very thick, similar feeling to an aloe vera. what is it? this is in the Western Panhandle of Maryland in my front yard. I lifted it up in the second picture.
Randomly started growing in my garden, about a month old, South Africa
Moved in to caretake dementia MIL, trying to get her house in order. Need to prune this but want to do it right
Live in Mountain View, CA. Any help would be appreciated!
The heck is this tall weed with weird fruits (?) - Central VA
Found this growing by the fence on the side of the house where weeds flourish.
My plant ID app had no good matches, neither did Google lens. Are the weird round things fruits, should I squish one to see if it's a bug??
Is it Mint?
Statement: This plant just popped up in my backyard. Before I transplant it to try to grow it, I wanted a second opinion, is it actually mint? I'm sorry if this is a very basic question but I don't know too much about plants and I'm overly cautious. Thank you!
Flowers coming up at house
Hoping to ID these perennial flowers that come up each Spring! Last Spring I had just bought my house so was too overwhelmed to worry about the flowers, this Spring I want to ID them to take best possible care of them. I'm in New England, they emerge in mid-march even when it's still freezing out. Thank you!
This pine tree in my back yard in the Tennessee mountains
Anyone know
My cactus has a friend? 🤷🏻♀️
This mushroom thing popped up a few weeks after repotting it. What is it? Should I get rid of it?

help, possible hemlock
Photos in Northern France by the sea. I've tried to take as many photos as I can without touching it.
The other day, I found some in our field (quite overgrown) and had a mow of it, and sniffed it. I was informed that it could be dropwort hemlock, so I went back inside and washed, but I am fine now.
However, in terms of getting rid of it, I don't know how to approach it. I was hoping that we could just mow it once every couple of months, as we are not here so often, and ideally lots of other plants would take its place in the mean time. For example, we had lots of brambles last year, but semi-regular mowing just means that lots of other ones have mostly taken their place.
If it is hemlock, could I not just mulch it in my lawn mower, while wearing wellies, goggles, thick fabric gloves, long sleeves, etc ?
Ideally, my safest bet is to call the local council, who hopefully would send someone who knows what they're doing to deal with it. However, my family seems adamant that it's fine to just mow it.
Is this plant Kale?
I live in northern Georgia near Atlanta and my apartments have this ornamental plant. I always thought it looked like kale but I could be mistaken. What kind of plant is this?
