Our couch potatoes

Lagavulin (16.5y) and Glenfiddich (5y).

So similar, yet very different.

Lagy is VERY insistent on being on the high part of the couch where Glen likes a pillow and stuffy in his mouth to soothe.

Westie pup being a grumpy bum during sleeptime

My 11 month old westie boy is generally a really happy, social and friendly dog. It’s not causing any issues per se, but I’ve noticed he becomes a cranky sensitive old man when it comes to sleep time 😂

If he’s nodding off and you move an inch, he’ll do a low growl/huff and dramatically storm off… only to come back moments later because he still wants to be sleeping on or next to you 😆 He’s never aggressive about it at all, and honestly it’s mostly funny because we do everything possible to make him comfortable.

Last night my partner started snoring and the dog literally did a grumpy little growl in response because he was annoyed at being disturbed. Tiny exhausted pensioner trapped in a westie body.

It’s been happening pretty consistently over the last week or so and I was just curious whether anyone else has experienced this with their dog — especially terriers? Is this just adolescent dog behaviour / being sleep sensitive?

How much are we feeding our large adult male westies?

I have a baseline large, male westie. Hes 32lbs and the Doc wants him to lose a few lbs. We have been feeding him Eukanuba lamb first adult kibble 1/2C per meal. In addition to the kibble he gets a small piece of par-boiled broccoli, sweet potato, and carrot and 1/2 tsp of fish oil. (maybe two treats a day for a snack/being a good boy lol) I'm trying to gauge what would be a good decrease. I was looking at the Eukanuba kibble bag and its saying for a dog his size i should be feeding him 1C and 5/8C... thats a lot!

Dr Google recommended a slurry of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dish soap, followed by a warm rinse and a regular dog shampoo bath. I think it worked?

I love how his back paws move when he walks.

It’s like they barely touch the ground. Such a confident walker :) Beef
