Hey y'all, as the title says, I'm trying to decide which of the 21" Delkevic exhausts to get. It's quite difficult to find decent reviews online so I'm hoping to get a decent collection here. Looking for Upsides and Downsides. Any videos are very welcome and appreciated.
Fuck, smoke from radiator coming out. What could cause this. It is not overheating becuase theres no indication on the dash..
You know it’s funny… I’m almost 50, very young at heart lots of energy… as a young little kid I had all kinds of 3-wheelers, dirt bikes etc, got my DL at 16, and had to borrow my parent’s extra vehicle ( dodge K car remember those???) to go to school etc. by the time I graduated I didn’t have a car, but I had my endorsement for motorcycles. So I had saved up enough to buy a Honda nighthawk.
After college, jobs etc I went through a few Hondas, upgraded to a Harley ( did I say upgrade?) the Harley I had was two years old and only 3,000 miles on it, looked great, sounded great, complete garbage, parts vibrating off, ridiculous. So in my next five years I had a katana, loved it but crotch rockets are gilded, traded and added money to buy a triumph cafe racer. Amazing bike. In my late twenties, got married, had a kid, no more bikes for awhile purchased my first vehicle with 4 wheels. Where I live it’s warm all year. So I had to get serious, kept the triumph for wind therapy for a few more years,
Then …for an anniversary gift, my ex wife bought me a Harley fat boy. Beautiful bike, brand new. First brand spanking new bike I ever had. I wanted to like it, because I like the cruiser feel. Horrible bike. Just awful. Lots of problems like my first Harley.
In mid 2000,s after my divorce I bought a Honda shadow. Amazing bike, compared to Harley it felt faster even though it was less CC.. I would trade with my brother’s triumph bobber every so often. And then in 2016 I purchased and traded my shadow for the Vulcan S 2016…
And I fell in love. Even with modifying muffler, after market, this bike 650cc rides like a cruiser but with that crotch rocket torque, it really is the best bike I e ever had. So much so in 2021 I purchased the one pictured above, no problems reliable, fast, and it seems Japanese bikes ( and cars) are just the best.
So… I think we here own the best model of any motorcycle there is. And in 2028 -2030 I’m buying a second one… I love the Vulcan s.
That’s all…lol sorry for my rant
Finally got around to installing the Motea luggage system (side cases and top box). It was a bit of a project, as you can see from the tools and the scattered garage in the other photos, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
It completely changes the look and makes it so much more practical for touring. Can't wait to load it up and go for a long ride!
Its been about 8 months since I first bought the KVS and its been such an amazing time making it my own. When I first bought it, I hadn't intended on doing much to it....but here we are. Its wider, louder, and brighter. As I've done this upgrades over time, ive noticed it's gotten easier to travel on the highway with each one. With the most recent addition of pod lights, people notice me much sooner when im splitting lanes and make way for me. I think im happy where it's at now, next big purchase for it will be a new set of tires when it comes due.
So.... I'm ashamed to say, because of a number of layers of mis-informedness, I bought my first bike, a Kawasaki Vulcan 650s, thinking it had ABS because I saw the speed sensor ring on the bike and thought it was the ABS module. The seller didn't really know what they were talking about and "Confirmed" that it was ABS. In a turn of events that will be shocking to no one but me five hours ago, the bike doesn't have ABS, so I'm going to sell it for something that has ABS. I've been riding it since october, and probably only have 1500 miles under my belt.
While I really enjoyed how peppy it was for a cruiser, and it was maneuverable enough for what it was, I'm open to the idea of other makes and models of motorcycle that would be good for me.
I really enjoyed putting highway miles on it, and will likely have a 35 minute commute to work and back when I use a motorcycle to commute. I REALLY like the idea of a Honda Goldwing, but I think this is a bit early in my career to be riding a Goldwing around. But I would love to be wrong. I do know that many people say wings are very manueverable for such big bikes. So I'm curious to know what people think about one as a semi-first bike.
I'm also leaning heavily toward the V-strom 650 or Versys 650. And curious if the Vstrom 1000 would be way too much to handle for a moderate rider.
Likewise, I absolutely love the aesthetics of the XSR700, and z650RS, but doubt they have the ability to eat up highway miles, and would probably be best for weekend rides around town and such.
I swear I'm not normally this stupid, but buying my first bike was a head swirling experience, and I overlooked a few very key details.
Got this 2015 Vulcan S 650 almost 1y ago as my first motorcycle, love that it’s purple!
I added some removable saddle bags, because I want them only when i travel not when I commute (parking spots at work are small)
Is there a more comfortable back seat for a tall passenger?
Just picked one up of my own and wanted to say hi. Only gone out a few times with it so far and been quite the adventure. Hoping the weather gets better here so I can get out more.
I sold my 2020 Vulcan S and picked up a 2025 S Cafe. Struggling to find a tail bag and the OEM Kawa bag doesn’t show up for the Cafe. Anyone suggest something other than the OEM luggage rack so that i can keep the solo seat? Currently wearing a backpack and it gets heavy on long rides.
Almost a month in and I'm loving this bike. I'm glad I chose it as my first because even just doing parking lot and neighborhood practice it manages to make it feel fun. It's been a very easy bike to adapt to. I will say my ass is feeling the pain of that stock seat by now though LOL. I also wanted to ask if you guys have any recommendations for a good stand for when I need to do chain maintenance? Figured I'd ask people with experience before I go searching online
Hi! looking at this Vulcan S ABS with 40 miles! it looks mint lol market for theese bikes in Florida are all over the place what’s the most I should pay? Listing is up for 6k which is way too much thinking of 4200-4400 just not trying to get ripped off thank you!
So i went to my first ever road trip, it lasted 10 days. Heres my Vulcan and some nature
Anyone upgrade their stock brakes to something better? I am not a fan of the stock brakes. I think they should be a little better. If you've upgraded, what did you go with? Or just any upgrade recommendations would be appreciated. 2024 S650 ABS. Thanks
Hi everybody, I made the mistake one day of leaving my keys in my Vulcan and drained the battery, I attached it to the battery charger and the bike has continued to work however its had issues where I have had to bump start it and it dies if left on for 2 minutes if I'm parked on the side of the road. I assume I need a new battery and am hoping to get some recommendations, I'm in Australia.
A friend of mine told me if I get a better battery I can also improve the performance, if anyone has any information on this it would also be appreciated.
After some sidebags (and mounts) inspiration for my 650 S.
Prefer something lockable and solid.
Have to be available in Australia :p
