Hi everyone! I got accepted into the Master's in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Bologna.
I’m a Non-EU citizen and I’m starting to worry about my future job prospects in Italy or the EU. My English is C1, but I’m only just starting to learn Italian.
I’ve heard it’s extremely difficult for Non-EU graduates to find lab or clinical work without a European passport. Is it realistic to find a job after graduation with these conditions, or is a PhD the only viable path to stay?
I’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation!

ER.GO scholarship at UniBo! Is it true that many students were left without funding this year?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to study at the University of Bologna, but I’ve heard some worrying news about the ER.GO scholarship in Emilia-Romagna.
Rumor has it that due to budget deficits, around 900+ qualified students (mostly internationals) ended up as "idonei non beneficiari" meaning they approved for the scholarship but received no money. I heard UniBo had to step in with emergency funds, but I'm not sure if that solved the issue.

To current UniBo students:
What is the situation right now? Did everyone eventually get paid?

How risky is it to rely on ER.GO for the upcoming year? Should I expect to self-fund?

Did this crisis affect tuition waivers or student housing, or was it just the cash stipend?

Would appreciate any insights or updates. Thanks!

Hey guys! I applied for the economics and finance bachelor in University of Bologna and I sent my SAT score from collegeboard. I have an 1400 sat 7.5 Ielts. I applied a little bit late, 28 of march 2026. When should I get a response? Will they send it by mail?

Hi everyone, I could really use some honest insight from people familiar with UniBo admissions 🙏

I’ve been waitlisted for the International Relations master’s at the University of Bologna (non-EU list: 30 seats, I’m ranked 43 → so 13th on the waiting list).

At the same time, I already have offers for:

🔶 International Cooperation on Human Rights and Intercultural Heritage at the University of Bologna 🔶 World Politics & International Relations at the University of Pavia

I know the waitlist moves after each call, and that we also have to confirm interest to stay on it.

👉 Based on past years or your experience:

🔸 How much does the IR Bologna list usually move after the 1st call? 🔸 Is being around +13 realistically reachable by the 2nd or 3rd call?

I’m trying to decide how seriously to consider my current offers vs waiting.

Any real experiences or numbers would help a lot, thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on my MBA thesis and running a short survey (2–3 mins) on internship onboarding experiences. If you’re a student or recent graduate (18+) who has done an internship, I’d really appreciate your input: https://forms.gle/ahzCte2LX5eKhFXi6
Feel free to share your survey and I’d answer as soon as I can! Thank you :)

Hi everyone, I was accepted to the Master’s in Architecture and Creative Practices for the City and Landscape at UNIBO and also to POLITO.

I’d love to hear how the program at UNIBO is in terms of studios, workload, and overall experience. Also, how is life in Bologna for students?

If anyone can compare it with POLITO, that would really help. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I’m preparing for the “adequate personal competencies and skills” interview for the University of Bologna, for the Master’s programs in Psychology of Wellbeing and Social Inclusivity and Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (WOP).

Has anyone here gone through this type of interview for a master’s admission? I would really appreciate any insights.

I’m especially curious about the general format, is it more technical and focused on the bibliography, or more about personal experiences and motivations? What kind of questions should I expect?

Honestly, any advice, experiences, or tips would help a lot!!
