Underscores Drivers License Theory

You may have noticed that underscores' Galleria tour has a geographical gap in the southeast of the United States of America. While she has 4 stops in the most populated state of California and 3 stops the second most populated, Texas, there are 0 stops in the third most populated state of Florida. I believe that this is not a coincidence and that there is a reason behind this. The real question is why? Our biggest hint comes in the song "Lovefield" (underscores. "Lovefield." U. Mom+Pop, 2026.) April Harper Grey states that "It'll be winter soon and I'll be Twilight pale. I'll get my license and we'll go to Florida." An initial read of this quote would suggest that April intends to go to Florida in the winter however she does not have her license. This explanation falls apart very quickly, however, when you realize that underscores is touring across the entire country without a license so there is no reason Florida should be any different.

This leads me to my next question. Why is underscores afraid to drive without a license in Florida, but not any other state? This is a much more difficult question to answer, but some clues that help are that in my research I have found no evidence of April having been to Florida at all on tour or for any other reason. This suggests that she is not just afraid of driving without a license in the state of Florida, she is afraid to set foot in the state of Florida. The claim of it being due to her lack of having a license is simply an excuse not to enter the state. This is further supported by the fact that she visited Dollywood, a theme park in Tennessee rather than going to Orlando which is world renowned for it's theme parks. To me this makes it clear that she has warrants for her arrest in Florida and may even be the Most Wanted Person in the United State of Florida.

This leads me to my final question. What did underscores do in the state of Florida that was so horrible that she cannot return to the state? And the answer lies in the song "Cops and robbers" (underscores. "Cops and robbers." Wallsocket. Mom+Pop, 2023.) This song details an embezzlement scheme that is supposedly occurring in a fictional town in Michigan. However, April is not afraid of Michigan, she has been there many times and will perform at the Electric Forest Music Festival this year as well (yay I'm excited!). April is afraid of Florida and it is my belief that this is because "Cops and robbers" is semi autobiographical and April is involved in the crime detailed in the song however it took place in Florida rather than Michigan.

What does this mean for the future of underscores? Sadly due to this I don't believe we will see any tour dates in Florida even if underscores obtains her drivers license. However hope is not lost for Florida underscores fans. The statute of limitations for Florida felonies means that underscores should be able to return to Florida 4 years after the crime was committed. Depending on when the crime was committed that could be soon! Let me know what you think of my theory and thank you for reading. I think I may have a future as a criminal investigator.

pit question

sorry sorta long post but im planning on buying a ticket to the sd show and honestly i dont really get pit tickets or go alone ever to shows, but pit is the only option that is still for sale and im just nervous that the pit is going to be not a good experience for me, like being in a big crowd does freak me out easily, esp if people are moshing the entire time, have the crowds in the past at any of the shows been like not.. friendly? idk, i would definitely prefer balcony but i cant just find one single ticket for sale 💔

should i just stay in the back of the pit?? sorry i dont go to that many concerts but i really dont want to miss seeing her live!! if anyone has any advice its very appreciated 🫰

Decorated my graduation cap!

I felt inspired by the visual aesthetic of the cover arts for the U singles. I think I nailed down the art style fairly well.

Hollywood Forever ACNH Town Tune

I’m not musically inclined AT ALL, so I had to scrub through opal corp’s FL Studio remake to find the piano roll and even then I’m sure there could be some improvements lmao

What do you guys think is CD+?

On the merch site it shows a placeholder for a CD +, I’ve been holding off buying the CD bc of it. but I remember she mentioned she’s not interested in doing a deluxe version of the album or anything like that, so what do you guys think it’ll be? Should I just buy the regular CD?

Hollywood Forever X Blue Monday

I knew I recognised this melody from Blue Monday by New Order, so I (attempted) to combine it with Hollywood Forever. If anyone can do a better job at this than me, PLEASE do lmao, it was a pain to get them both synced up
