It captures beauty within decay, floating between nostalgia, isolation and late-night introspection.

As ever there are some absolute bangers this week. Been digging through this morning so thought I'd post some of my faves so far:

• Silva Bumpa & Specialist Moss - Hypa: funky, energetic.
• Killjoy, Denham Audio & Mincy - Forward: dark, moody, bass-driven. Hard choice between this and Hypa for top pick
• Charlie Shell & Jackie Hollander - People Like Us (Murphy's Law Remix): Reece bassline with spacey elements, say less
• SHOSH - Get Slippy: proper 140/dubstep, not for the faint hearted
• Gentlemens Club - Break It: pushing the genre to its limits at 140
• Morcheeba, Amanda Zamolo - Pareidolia (Frazer Ray Remix): Great remix from Frazer

Came across El-B’s post from a few weeks back celebrating 30 years of this record, didn’t realise it had been that long since the first Groove Chronicles release. Does anything from that era top this for you, or is this the definitive starting point?

Join me for some Garden Grooves, there’s some laidback and groovy House & UK Garage in this mix. I'm known for mixing and making slightly darker and deeper music across the UK Bass spectrum. But the feeling was right and I needed to make the most of the sunny weather! It's not strictly all garage - but leans in that direction, so I hope it's all good to post here! (Mods let me know if I need to remove it!)
