i need to know what to add to my portfolio, im genuinely clueless and i have applied for mit, pearl and isdi, and i want a good portfolio before i give the exams, i have no digital art experience due to boarding school.
tips and tricks are appreciated
Do we need to trace the drawings with black pen? because it is checked digitally, I couldn't attend the webinar so did they mention anything Abt it ?
BRO HE WAS SO IMPRESSED HE LITERALLY SAID EXCELLENT PORTFOLIO TWICE AND SAID WE ARE VERYYT IMPRESSED LOKE 3- TIMES BROOOOOOO AND SAID “START PACKING YOUR BAGS FOR PUNE” 😭😭😭😭 BRO WAS SO IMPRESSED SMILIMG THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE INTERVIEW AND SAID HE LOVES MY ENERGY LITERALLY MOST FLAWLLESS INTERVIEW
Please please PLEASE share your answers for each question (just the core ideas you had in mind for each question). I really want to know which sort of answers bag marks. I know that it's pretty subjective, and that there's no single 'correct' answer, but knowing how different people approach the questions really helps to widen your perspective.
And if you don't wanna answer all, please just share what you had sketched out for these questions: merging hand with rope/hammer/plant/mouse, and 3 ways of preventing school bus injury other than seat belt.
was just going through divergent's insta page today, AND I SAW AKSHAT'S (MY FRIEND'S) RANK TAKEN BY SOMEONE??? AND THEY DIDNT MENTION CATEGORY RANK LIKE THEIR OTHER POSTS TOO???
I know for a fact that he works with easyUCEED (https://youtube.com/@easyuceed) not divergent 😭😭
I've attached screenshots of Akshat's marksheet which he sent me on result day and what divergent has posted on their insta:
i am considering it for space design and i am really confused between few colleges like anant , uid and dot school of design as these are my only options rn so honest reviews would be appreciated

pls dont say no to offline coaching cuz i'll go insane if i stay here for few more months and i want to practice in offline now
not brds but any coaching for design , pls be honest (u can share ur experiences but im looking for somewhere in north)😭😭
I can't find a solution i understand is there a formula for this
I spoke to multiple students and went through a lot of discussions, and honestly, the reality of DTU B.Des is very different from what people assume.
*Placements are not something you can rely on here. The college does not provide a consistent placement support system specifically for design, which means your career path depends heavily on your own hustle.
*The course itself is still relatively new. It doesn’t yet have the depth, structure, or refinement u would expect from a well ass established design program. Because of this, there is gap in learning, lack of direction, and an overall feeling that things are still being “figured out” rather than properly delivered.
*Faculty support is another concern that keeps coming up. The guidance is limited, and in some cases, the teaching approach feels disengaged. In design, ur portfolio is everything... but here, many students struggle to build a strong one because of limited mentorship & unclear direction. Without proper feedback and guidance, it becomes difficult to understand what actually meets industry standards.
*Evaluation is highly subjective. Unlike objective systems, your grades don’t always reflect only your effort or output. Students mention that scoring can feel unpredictable and sometimes dependent on individual faculty perception, which makes it hard to trust the grading system fully.
*Despite being in Delhi, students often feel that meaningful industry exposure is limited unless they actively chase it themselves. Internships, projects, and networking r not consistently integrated into the system, which means you may graduate without strong industry connections.
What makes this more concerning is that when you compare it with private universities like VIT or Anant or many more, especially with scholarships, the cost difference is not as big. In many cases, those colleges offer more structured programs, better support systems, and clearer placement pathways. So you end up paying slightly more, but getting significantly more in return.
The real issue is not that the college is BAD..bt it’s that it can quietly waste ur potential if u come in expecting guidance, structure, and support. u might only realize the gaps when it’s too late ..when you see other college students with stronger portfolios and clearer direction.
You need to be extremely self driven, proactive, and independent to actually grow in here.
All the best ...just be sure you know what you’re signing up for.
No change in mine😭😭. Did anyone have their scores changed??
how do i make improvement. Steppped into designing 3 mo ago.
