My daughter recently tested positive for a cat allergy through a blood test (IgE 58.9) and I’m still waiting for the doctor to follow up..we originally went in thinking she just had ongoing flu like symptoms and a chronic cough, but it turns out it’s allergic rhinitis likely from our cats!

It makes me sad…we love our cats and my daughter is very bonded to them..but also I want to do what’s best for her health….Is that IGE level considered very high?

Has anyone been in a similar situation and been able to manage it without rehoming their pets? Would really appreciate hearing real experiences!!!
