I've currently been breastfeeding for exactly a week since my baby's been born and it's SO painful. My nipple has now bled twice. I've tried everything to get my baby to have a good latch. (Sandwich hold and get him to open his mouth wide) I was crying yesterday due to the pain while he was eating and just decided to give him bottles of formula throughout the day. With that being said will we ever be able to go back? I am pumping right now but I don't think that will keep my supply. Should I go back to breastfeeding? I don't want there to be nipple confusion but I truly am not sure what to do.
Half of me wants the breastfeeding bond and nutrition. And half of me is thinking it would be a lot less painful and a lot more easy to do formula.
