Speaker Mike Johnson lived in a Shreveport, Louisiana home owned by the wife of a director promoted to VP of the electric company SWEPCO.

Good faith OSINT evidence shows that Speaker Mike Johnson, back in February 2013, purchased a residential property located on Willow Chase Drive in Benton, LA from a corporate executive named Thomas P. Brice. Public records indicate the Brice family had owned or resided at that location since at least 2008.

I only learned about Thomas P. Brice when I stumbled upon his name while running a general public records search for Speaker Mike Johnson’s former home address on Willow Chase Drive in Benton, LA (he has since moved, which I will explain below).

According to real estate database records, the property was sold directly to James Michael Johnson and his wife on February 21, 2013. Yet only five months later, in July 2013, the Brice family's corporate entity, JAJ Properties, bought the home back from the Johnson family, where it remained under JAJ’s corporate ownership until 2025.

The reason Thomas P. Brice is so significant to this investigation is his professional nexus. Brice worked as an executive for an electric company named SWEPCO (Southwest Electric Power Company), whose parent company is American Electric Power (AEP), based in Ohio. During the 2013 to 2025 timeframe, Brice moved up the corporate ladder from Director to Vice President.
During the timeframe Speaker Johnson utilized that Willow Chase Drive property, corporate filings show he and his wife registered several entities, including MikeandKellyJohnson.com, Mike Johnson for Louisiana, and Onward Christian Education Services. Concurrently, Mike Johnson advanced rapidly in his career, moving from representing Louisiana’s 4th District to becoming Speaker of the House, placing him third in line for the presidency.

Another oddity found in the documentation: On Mike Johnson’s 2016 federal disclosure forms, it states he held a home mortgage from Citizen’s National Bank valued between $350,000 and $500,000. Yet tracking that asset is complicated by the public conveyance records showing JAJ Properties had already purchased the property back from the Johnson family in 2013.

While there is much more to this segment of my research, another major oddity appears on the ethics.la.gov portal documenting campaign finance data. The anomaly involves American Electric Power (AEP)—the parent company of SWEPCO. Records document AEP donating "Non-LA Transactions" totaling over $10 million ($10,114,710.00 at last audit). What was the specific purpose of these massive transactions?

To Summarize the Findings: In February 2013, Mike Johnson bought a home on Willow Chase Drive in Benton, LA from Thomas P. Brice, and 5 months later, the Brice family's company (JAJ Properties) bought it back. Brice served as a Director and eventually VP at SWEPCO, a subsidiary of Ohio's AEP. Mike Johnson subsequently rose from District 4 Representative to Speaker of the House while registering multiple non-profit and political entities out of that general location. Concurrently, AEP directed over $10 million into Louisiana campaign finance channels via non-local transactions.

Bonus Investigative Info: Archived news articles from 2001 mention Jeff Landry and Thomas P. Brice working together as final candidates for SMEDA. Furthermore, public schedules confirm that Brice and SWEPCO representatives met with Governor Jeff Landry’s transition team shortly after the Governor was sworn into office in January 2024.

Mapping the Network: Public mapping pins associate SWEPCO's regional operations with a commercial property on Travis Street in Shreveport, LA—an address utilized for specific campaign finance documentation.
Another location of interest is "The Johnson Building." This is a commercial building where an elder attorney named J. Michael Johnson maintained an office, and where partners of James Patrick “Pat” Johnson (Speaker Johnson’s father) operated a corporate entity known as JEANIUS Records. I will be breaking down those specific corporate overlaps in an upcoming report.

Coming Up Next: Analyzing Bar Roll data overlaps. Records indicate a 1999 entry for Speaker Mike Johnson, a 1980 entry for lawyer J. Michael Johnson, and a 1947 Notary record all sharing the same distinct registry identifier (26059). We will also examine notable overlaps regarding public employment locations.
Thank you for reading. May you be blessed. Please share this information, and I will post the next body of evidence as soon as the analysis is complete.

Please consider getting involved locally and reviewing public petitions currently circulating in Baton Rouge. The time is now.

Thank you,
Vanessa, The Political Violin

P.S. Speaker Johnson and his family currently reside in a property in Washington, D.C., that conveyance records ultimately associate with Randal Issa, a Representative from California. I will provide a forensic breakdown of that housing arrangement soon.

I keep getting my post accidentally kicked off of Reddit. So I had AI rewrite this post and I’m only adding a few screenshots in the hopes this one won’t get scrubbed. Sorry!
