My father is 68 years old and he is fighting for his life. I never thought I would be writing something like this, but here I am — because I have no other choice.
His name is Bandanadham Stanislaus. In November 2024, he was diagnosed with Metastatic Carcinoma Prostate — advanced prostate cancer.
Since then, he has gone through surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. He never complained once. He always told us he would be fine. But despite everything, the cancer kept progressing.
Doctors at Omega Hospital, Hyderabad have now started him on Keytruda, an immunotherapy treatment. This is currently his best available option to control the disease.
Each cycle costs between Rs. 2.3 to 2.8 lakhs. We managed through insurance for as long as we could. That coverage is now completely exhausted. Our savings are gone. As a family, we have done everything within our means — and we have reached our limit.
We are raising Rs. 22,00,000 to continue his treatment. So far, kind people have helped us raise Rs. 51,403. We have 44 days left and a long way to go.
