Indecisive
Hey yall. I’ve been trying to make a decision as to which university and major to enroll into and I’m not really arriving at a strong decision. For context, I’m finishing up my sophomore year at ECU as a CS major and I applied to NCSU for chem engineering as my first choice and comp engineering as my second choice since I’ve taken some solid CS courses with a 3.9 GPA but thought chem engineering wld give me a more “stable” route w the current job market plus my dad works in the field. I also applied to chapel hill but when I did that I didn’t think I’d get in at all so I applied for data science BS since my current coursework kinda fit perfectly for it and thought I had the best chance for getting into that major compared to the other majors. Now that transfer decisions are out and I got into chem engineering at NCSU and data science at chapel hill I’m not sure what to pick. As to why I didn’t think this through before decisions came out it’s because I didn’t think I’d get into both of them.
Before anyone says I shld choose what I’d rather want to study or do, I’m honestly the kind of person who hates studying and doing work at all I just also happen to be decent at it so I’d say the amount of interest I have in both majors are equal.
What I’m tryna ask is what do yall think are the positives and negatives to each choice and what wld yall pick?
