advice on moving to minnesota from ohio...
my husband 9x out of 10 has landed this great job in the St. Cloud area. we have 5 children (4 being autistic level 3 & 1 having adhd as well). i also have my oldest starting high school in august. all of my children have iep's already. judging by what i've seen so far from researching.. basically anywhere outside of the twin cities and surrounding suburbs is very racist. we are black. we're a very private family who minds our business.. we also know our kids are very loud so we almost always drive them to places to play so they don't interrupt anyone where we are living. i would like to know if any of you wonderful minnesotians would be willing to comment so help on where the best schools are for my situation.. he's willing to drive at least an hour in a half to work. he just wants to make sure i don't have to drive very far taking the kids to school. we've been so ready to leave cleveland.. idk if you've heard but cleveland is like the wild west. i don't want to continue to raise my kids here. i want them to grow up differently. even the suburbs aren't safe anymore and the ones that are its a dam fortune to live there. so yeah, im looking for great schools are specifically are known for their work with special needs children and are (diverse).. at the same time looking for a great (diverse) school my soon to be high schooler. (specifically high schools with a lot of sports.. he loves soccer and is thinking about basketball).
its worth mentioning my husband worked out in st james and fairmount 2 years ago on a contract job and it was VERY racist. so please again point out places to live that are diverse. thanks if you read this far.

reddit.comThoughts on Big Minneapolis Anime?
Hello! I'm from the Twin Cities area and I've been trying to find new conventions to go to. I have been going to Animinneapolis for about 5 years now but ever since finding out about the Ryan Kopf drama I really want to stop supporting that convention
Big Minneapolis Anime is the main con I've been looking at. I actually have interest in most of the guests attending the convention and it seems to be a decent time, but I'm hesitant since it's a big corporate con and it's newer, and I can't find much information on how good it is or if it's worth it. Does anybody here have experience with the convention and would recommend it or advise against it?
I'm also looking at 2D Con. It also seems fun but clearly has a bigger focus on gaming than anime (I don't mind that TOO much). It's also in August so I'm looking at going to either or. Even though I'd love to go to both, I'm way too broke to be going to 2 cons in 1 month 😭
