[TP] Twilight Princess’ ‘Slow Opening’ is Actually Perfect

I put together an essay article about the slow opening sequence of Twilight Princess and how, even though it used to get a lot of hate online, I actually think it's perfect and a masterclass of both introducing the world and giving the player a taste of what the whole game will be

[TP] I’m not sure what the composer was on but twilight princess is the closest the series has been to adventure horror and the music is a big factor, it’s like silent hill meets Zelda, the eldritch influence is so perfect for the series

The mountains and valleys surrounding ordon village give me such a strange surreal vibe, it’s kind of uncomfortable, it always has me wondering “what’s out there?”

Don’t worry I’m not trying to be over dramatic and hit you the creepy pasta spiel, I know there’s nothing out there and I bet the area is actually comfortable for a lot of you, it’s just a feeling I get when I look into the distance

What area in the game gives you this feeling?

I'm so happy right now! This new unofficial port rules!

Like for real! I waited so long for nintendo to rerelease this game on the Switch, and they never did for whatever reason. I think they hate money.

Queue this awesome decompilation with a bunch of QOL updates, graphical settings, ACHIEVEMENTS, cheats... stuff nintendo could only dream of selling separately in amiibo form. This release made me so happy! And the best of all, it's multi platform: Windows, Linux, Mac and Android.

It's beautiful seing it running natively on my iPad.

BRAVO 👏 https://twilitrealm.dev/

My first playthrough of TP since childhood and I only just realised how messed up the Kakariko village situation is

I never questioned why the town was so empty as a kid but in reality we are met with the only few survivors of the attack, and it’s likely that at least one of the shadow beasts we kill was a converted villager as we hear about villagers who got dragged out and turned into monsters

Super dark game

Started playing twilight princess dusk (really amazing btw love it) and I noticed Ilia's hair was just... missing. Any help?

Sadly my screenshots don't do it justice but I've not seen anyone talk about how amazing Dusk's bloom looks compared to the original

for some reason my screenshots are very washed out but anyone who has played Dusk knows what I'm talking about, it's night and day

Are these custom models available anywhere??

In the trailer for Dusk it showed these GORGEOUS models of a Gold Wolf Link and OOT Link, but I can't find where I can download them anywhere! Are they publicly available or private?

I knew I held onto this for 20 years for a reason! Dusk on the Steam Deck has been a dream :)

Added Twilight Princess 4K texture pack to Dusk but Grass still has the old Textures

Update: The Devs are now aware of this and the Problem that's causing this has been found!
Some of the original textures aren't mipmapped but the replacements are and that is tripping the logic up.
This is now a pending bugfix for a upcoming release of Dusk.

Most Textures seem to be using the new ones.
Not sure if any other Textures besides the grass are still the old ones.
Anyone know what's going on?

Edit: It is way more textures then just the Grass. Flowers, Butterflies, other vegetation. Same Issue with different Texture packs.

Update: Issue seems to be confirmed to be for everybody. Same issue on Android Version. Issue persists when using a different Texture Pack as well so has nothing to do with this Specific one.

No matter how many times I've played this game, the opening title screen and sound fills me with such nostalgia. Tp was basically my first introduction to Legend of Zelda, and I have such a fond childhood memory bc my entire family would watch my dad play it. My dad wouldn't even announce when he'd start playing, my sisters and I would just hear the opening sound and run to the living room. Best times.

I make enamel pins and this was one from last year- and this year, I have more TP pins in the works. I thought she might be enjoyed on this sub!
