Who has a 26 Tuareg 660

I am about to pull the trigger on a new 2024 T. But, I noticed I can get a New 2026 for the same price.

Question I have is how are the electronics?. I heard they upgraded them.

As an adventure bike enthusiast and owner of a Tuareg 660, I’ve formed a strong opinion about tire choices based on riding conditions.

If your trips are mostly on roads—even rough asphalt or light gravel—90/10 tires are the best choice. They significantly improve the bike’s road performance, offering better grip, stability, and comfort compared to other options.

For more demanding off-road conditions—think mud, deep gravel, or broken terrain—50/50 tires are the way to go. They excel in these environments, providing the traction and control you need.

Now, about the popular 70/30 tires: I believe they’re more about looks than practicality. On asphalt, they perform well but still fall short of 90/10 tires in terms of handling and longevity. They wear out faster, and in mud, they behave like slicks—offering no real advantage. On gravel, their performance isn’t significantly better than 90/10 tires.

So, in my experience, 70/30 tires don’t offer a meaningful compromise. What do you think—do you agree, or do you have a different perspective?

Tuareg 660

Presently I got mint Tuareg 660 2023 and I was sort of unpleasantly surprised that nowadays in the name of the economy Aprila decided not to put even basic toolkit with the bike. That’s ridiculous, but it is what it is. My question is - are there any aftermarket ones for this bike ? What are you carrying around?

PS. The bike is beautiful, handles beautifully like a typical Aprila. And it feels that machine was quite well thought about when he was designed. Such joy to ride

Hey Folks, was thinking about getting a Tiger 900 Rally but, I’m thinking of buying a Tuareg instead. I sure the Tuareg is more than enough bike for me nowadays. So, price wise and options seem to be my best bet at this time.
My questions are 1. Do any of you have any major issues with reliability? (I do have an April dealer near me). I have seen the previous years issues and it seems like Warranty has really helped with getting those issues rectified relatively quickly.
2. For anyone who has the warranty/extended warranty. Do you have to do all of your services through the dealer. Or can you do your own oil changes without compromising your warranty. Since I will have the extended warranty. Dealer said they could possibly throw it in with purchase.
Thanks in advance.
