The Album that got me into TripHop

„Lovage: Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By“ is such a masterpiece. I like concept albums in general but this one nailed it. I discovered the album in the summer of 2024 and still listen to it from time to time. The creator „Dan the Automator“ and one of the many features „Prince Paul“ are also known for creating the more known „Handsome Boy Modeling School“, which I also love. I’m also currently thinking about buying myself the CD for 32€… Let me know what you think :)

Noémie Wolfs gets back with Hooverphonic for a 30 years anniversary tour

With Geike leaving the band (again) in 3 months, Noémie joins them for another anniversary tour. I wonder if it's just a tour or if she comes back just like Geike did.

From their SM:

The celebration of thirty years of Hooverphonic wouldn’t be complete without Noémie Wolfs, an iconic part of our legacy. Her unforgettable performance in 2012 at the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp remains timeless. Noémie’s interpretation of "Mad About You" has become a classic, just like the original. With over 200 million views on YouTube, it's our most-watched video.

Songs like "Anger Never Dies," "The Night Before," "Amalfi," and "Gravity" are always featured on our live setlist, and this time, we are thrilled to have Noémie’s original voice back with us.

We can’t wait to celebrate the original Hooverphonic with orchestra! Hope to see you there.

Stay tuned!

K&D - DJ Kicks vinyl - how will that work then?

Anyone know how the new 3 disc vinyl is likely to play through? It would be lovely to hear it on vinyl, but it also kind of defeats the purpose of a continuous mix...

Are we likely to be looking at fade in / outs on each side, or would each side be remastered to create a proper beginning' and 'end' - essentially six separate 'mini mixes'?

I'd be more interested in the latter...
