Anyone using Trello + Google chat?

Lately, I am fighting with what apps to use to maximize team productivity (around 25 people). Clickup chat is causing many problems due bugs, Slack 30-day history in free is too short and task tracking is very basic in paid version.

The best solution for reasonable money seems to be Google Chat (we use Workspace) + premium trello for tasks and projects.

What do you think?

120+ users in one week — their favorite feature

A week ago we posted about launching GanttFlow — a free Gantt chart Power-Up for Trello. 100+ users later, we’re blown away by the response.

The feature that’s surprised people most: checklist sub-rows. You can expand any Trello card to see its individual checklist items as their own schedulable rows on the timeline. All without ever leaving Trello.

It’s part of the 14-day Pro trial — no credit card needed, starts when you’re ready.

If you’ve tried GanttFlow this week, what’s been most useful for your workflow? Genuinely want to know what’s landing.

Best way to turn Trello into weekly status updates?

I’m a project manager and we’ve been using Trello to keep everything organized. I’m trying to level up how we communicate progress specifically, I want to provide our project sponsor with a clear weekly insights/report.

The one thing I’m struggling with is that turning all the Trello updates into a clean weekly report is starting to feel really overwhelming, especially when it involves manually putting each task into Excel.

If anyone has experience with this, I’d love your help:

- Are there any Trello plugins/tools (free preferred, but I’m open to paid if it saves time) that can help automate weekly reporting?

- Any tips or workflows you recommend for turning Trello activity into an easy-to-read weekly summary?

- What have you found works best for highlighting things like progress, changes since last week, blockers, and “at risk” items?

Thanks so much in advance, any suggestions would be a huge help! 🙏

Trello for Authors

Hi, guys, I'm an author working on completing a trilogy and focused on writing more trilogies in the future along with standalone novels.

Has anyone here used Trello specifically for:

  • Worldbuilding (locations, their meanings, connections)
  • Character Profiles
  • Outlines for Individual Short Stories, Novels, and Trilogies where various outlines would need to be tied together into some kind of single folder somehow

So far I've created a Save The Cat Beat Sheet mock-up outline but not sure how I'd use Trello to create Character Profiles, Worldbuilding notes, or how I could use it to tie together multiple novel outlines and notes into one folder or unit or project folder somehow for easier reference.

Copying lists in Trello Problem? Has something changed?

When choosing "Copy List" - this seemed to previously copy the list in place next to the current one. Now, it copies list to the start / left side of the board. Can anyone please help check/confirm this? Can't seem to find a solution or anything on it.

Example: If copying list in position 5, instead of the new list being #4 or #6, it is just now #1. Have to drag. Is there a solution please?

Thank you

I made a small (free) Chrome plugin to remove strikethrough on checklists

Hey fellow Trello gang. I'm often doing QA testing of check list items for our software product. We use checklists to log fixes within a features ticket.

Needless to say, the strikethrough on completed items was making my process impossible to read what our developers have finished and needed testing. I thought I could make a simple power-up but can't seem to modify the CSS directly in the app so I made a simple Chrome extension if anyone also has the same issues as me:

Finally found the "Trello with actual subtasks" I’ve been hunting for

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick win for anyone else struggling with "feature creep" in their project management tools.

For the longest time, my team and I were die hard Trello fans. We love the Kanban flow, the UI is clean, and it doesn't take a PhD to onboard a new team member. But as our projects got more complex, we hit that classic wall, the lack of native subtask functionality.

We tried using checklists, but they felt buried. We tried "parent/child" card power-ups, but they felt clunky and disconnected. We even flirted with Jira and Monday, but honestly? They felt like overkill for what we needed and killed our speed.

I recently stumbled upon Tandio, and it’s been the "goldilocks" solution for us.

If you’re in that awkward middle ground where Trello is too light but the "big" enterprise tools are too heavy, definitely give Tandio a look. It solved the one major headache that was about to make us jump ship.

Anyone else found a way to make subtasks work in Trello, or have you made the switch to something else?

I built Miro inside Trello and need your honest opinion

I've been building a power up for the last year, nothing super fancy, just a tool that I needed for my team and later felt that other people might find useful. It allows you to make flowcharts and other silly stuff in Trello, synced with your board obviously. But no one is using it yet. I've had a couple of people install it but no one has saved their canvas even once, so I know something is up... I'm still looking for feedback so I would be grateful if anyone would give me their honest and brutal opinion.

Exporting to PDF or Word?

Hi, I'm totally new to Trello and using it to outline novels and organize complex worldbuilding notes. So far I like it, but how can I back up a Board in a formatted Word or PDF document? I've read about Power-Ups but can anyone recommend one that would export in Word or PDF that is reputable?
