1988 Trans Am GTA, great deal?

Been looking for a 3rd gen trans am for a while now and found one that seems perfect, wanted to see what the consensus was? 5 speed manual, 305, with the digital dash for 11k.

Update: Talked to the guy and saw the car, GTA is confirmed, motor is 350 from corvette, transmission is world class T5, 9 bolt rear end. Everything else is stock and its rust free. Gauges all work but some readings are slightly off. I think 9k is a fair price

Just playing around today and thought it’d be good day to blast down a runway at a rural airport in the Ozarks… lol

Long story short, this car has been through so many issues, she is getting dropped off tomorrow, hopefully with the majority of the kinks worked out..

Last pic is the day I got her...

Want some opinions on wheels for my 3rd gen TA, got 16 inch wheels on it now with shot tires so im looking for 17 inch wheels. I was hoping someone had experience with the rally 2 17 inch wheels shown in the rendering because im really leaning towards those but want to make sure I get wheels that will fit, I know I have to be mindful of backspacing on any wheels I get and want something that wont rub and will still look good. Any insight is appreciated or suggestions for any other wheels, Ive also thought about getting year one snowflake 17s as well. Thanks everyone.

I‘m a 17-year old and I have this Trans Am just lying around. I’m not much into cars, but this, this car speaks to me and I just want to drive this thing to and from school or the gym. I’m resided in California so smog systems are crucial and I‘m missing the whole system and the turbo. That being said, that’d make it just a Firebird. I really don’t want to sell this car even more because I’ve been told the shell is pristine and can’t relocate. Finding the right ECM with the right PROM is also hell. Anybody have an idea of what I should do?

I have a 79 Trans-Am that was fully restored about 20 years ago. I was talking with a friend about doing a photoshoot recently, and he mentioned doing some with my car. Possibly something like these, albeit not that sexy.

Protecting my car is my number one concern though. Obviously, I would not have any buttons, zippers, etc that would scratch my car. But, otherwise is this a problematic idea? Would I cause any other damage to the car?

Nothing would make me happier than having some awesome pictures with my car, but nothing would make me sadder than causing issues to my car.

Anything safe? Anything I should avoid?

I am about 150 lbs if that matters.

Picture after last week's bath for tax.

Have a 1981 transam with a 4.9 turbo engine. The car has been in storage for 10 years. Overall the car is in great shape but there was a rat nest in the engine bay near carburetor where they chewed up some wires and a couple small hoses. The hoses should be a pretty easy fix but how big of a headache is the wiring going to be? How much are repairs going to cost?
