Does anyone know the name of the music track that’s played in the background of the original Top Gun when maverick is at the board of inquiry and gets back in the jet after goose’s death?

I just saw Top Gun in theaters for the first time ever. It was amazing as everyone says it was however, something struck me for the first time in my thousands of times viewing this movie.
Charlie spend the first 45 minutes of the movie convincing Maverick he is special, she doesn’t normally date students, it’s dangerous for her job, etc. etc. Then all of a sudden Maverick quits and Wolfman has her home phone number???
I lived through the 80’s. I know it was a different time but the home phone number would have been a major line to cross as well. How did Wolfman have her home number??

Awesome news! Check your local listings today and tomorrow. The weekly theatrical schedule resets every Thursday.
Edit- only seeing this at the big AMC in nyc, not Regal (4DX) yet 🥹
Does anyone know how I can get a hold of the poster? They didn’t do it in the cinema I went to in the UK and I’m dying to get a hold of it. Or someone to send me a coloured PDF so I can print it out myself.
Ive watched Top Gun more times than I can count, but seeing it in 4DX was INTENSE! SERIOUSLY THE BEST CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I recommend that everyone sees it in 4DX.
This could be any experience, any re-release, anytime. I saw Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick a few times in theaters and was curious what experiences everyone else had.
When he meets Warlock and Cyclone he clarifies he was second in his top gun class, right? But Vioer tells him he has enough points to graduate - did he really actually have enough points that he was in second after screwing off for a week or two after Gooses death? And if so why didn’t Viper say he was second? Is there an explanation, am I misremembering something, or is there a continuity error here?
Happy 40th anniversary!!
Gone but never forgotten Tony Scott...
I had so much fun experiencing a drive-in theatre for the first time….great way to spend a Saturday night 🎬🍿
I'm located in Austin TX and for the life of me, I'm not able to find a single back to back screening for this franchise.
Obviously IMAX is the only and preferred method to catch this wonderful re-release but man there's no Cinema chain that can do Top Gun justice here.
AMC fail, Regal fail, Cinemark fail, Evo fail, Cinépolis fail. I just don't get it, all the showings are at the most random times and not even in chronological order or missmatch between IMAX and conventional.
I'm literally stressing out and my heart shrinks I'm having such bad luck. I mean it's the bloody 40th Anniversary!
I'm trying to see them back to back before it ends, MAVERICK out.
I went to see Top Gun at the movies yesterday and my goodness there are no words to describe the sheer joy of watching this movie in the big screen. I am not old enough to have been able to see this in the theatres when it released and so this rerelease is literally such a gift ! Cinematic brilliance - Tom Cruise rarely disappoints! Makes me want to go back to watch the second top gun in the movies as well.
F-14 and F-15 seats were just right in the center. A little bit left. Perfect distance especially for the first movie.
F-18 too far. F-4 and F-22 too far in the far sides.
Is the F-14 seat also in a good position with your theater?
Second Picture Bonus: Also found a nice book in a nearby book store while waiting for the Maverick screening!
My dad said he'd take me to see a Top Gun film at the cinema but he won't let me see both because it's too expensive, and I can't decide which one to see. I've already seen Top Gun but I saw it on my laptop (I was watching it secretly) and I want to see it on the big screen, especially because it's the 4oth anniversary. However, Top Gun is available to stream on Netflix so I could just watch it on the TV. On the other hand, I haven't seen Top Gun: Maverick and it's also not available for me to watch for free, but my dad said he'd buy it. Which one do I choose? Please help!
Watched Maverick for the second time (can't watch on anything but IMAX) and the music was so well done. Callbacks to the first, epic scenes made even more epic with the accompanying music...gained so much more appreciation for it the second time around.
I don’t understand why people aren’t blaming Iceman for Goose’s death.
He refused to take the shot on the Mig, and the jet wash would have been avoided.
