due to author complaints this will unfortunately be deleted, I'm sorry for those who felt hurt by my post, I never meant for it to be about tearing others down. I thought it would be a fun idea to bring the subreddit together, but clearly I didn't consider people's feelings as this wasn't an issue last time. My old version is still up for those who are interested:)

here's the original post where I got inspired. A subreddit with over 60k visitors and no complaints:)

Inspired by this fic, which is the best time travel tomarry fic ever imo, just because of the canon characterization and masterful plot. You might also recognize the author, because they wrote "What He Grows to Be" as well. Go check it out! You won't regret it :D (yes I am the artist lol, before anyone asks)

TIL Murder Party 2 has Tom Riddle specific questions

My family was playing Murder Party tonight and seeing this question came up made my sister and I both look at each other and start laughing because we’re both tomarry fans and had this answer instantly. It was amazing cus everyone else was like “??? How would I know this” and we’re just dying of laughter. 😂

Searching for a fic where Harry kept watching Snape's memories of Voldemort

I'm looking for a fic, time travel, maybe? Where before Harry found Voldemort/Tom he was watching Snape's memories of Voldemort. Post-Deathly Hallows. One of the chapters narrates one of the memories, which was pre Snape betraying Voldemort.

With the new HP show, how do y’all feel about the fandom space changing?

With new fans and people joining the fandom, the HP/tomarry fandom culture will inevitably change. With the rise of TikTok more people got into tomarry and changed tomarry fandom space (I mostly noticed in how fanfics changed because that’s my niche). With the new show it will go through a new change. How are y’all feelin?

Things Worth Keeping & All the Precious Things by Everettevans

Not sure if they've been recced here because I couldn't find anything. Both the fics are so well written!

Things Worth Keeping

Okay I love a cold and in-control Tom but I love a Tom who's struggling in the wizarding world even more. His realization that he's a nobody both in the muggle world and at Hogwarts, combined with his class differences with his peers, and most importantly Harry is explored very well. And Harry is so damn sweet yet oh so oblivious. It's a timeline mashup fic and completed!

Summary:

Tom Riddle owns one good quill, given to him by a boy who had so many he didn't bother to count. It was the first entry in the ledger.

Every gift Harry Potter gives him (the quill, the book, the ink, the gloves, the robes) gets a line, and Tom pays it back the only way he can: fixing Harry's homework, earning his marks for him, and eventually, kissing him on a cold balcony because twelve Galleons' worth of dress robes demand a currency beyond essays.

Harry thinks they're falling in love. Tom thinks he's staying solvent.

This is the story of every object between them, and the moment Tom finally stops counting.

All the Precious Things

This one has Harry and Tom grow up together at Wool's. There's no time travel and it's fem Harry. I know people usually dislike this trope but this one has lovely characterization and is recognizable as Harry. Also, the fic is definitely for the cold and calculated Tom lovers. Dude has his priorities (Harry) and does not budge lol. Total boyfriend material in this one if you ignore all the blackmail and murder (like Harry). But Harry's also not a pushover and has her own character arc. Seriously, read it. It's great.

Summary:

Tom Riddle kept everything that was his in a box beneath his bed: a tin soldier, a green marble, three buttons, and a red ribbon stolen from the suitcase of a girl who arrived at Wool's Orphanage on a Tuesday in November.

She was not crying. She was the only one who never did.

He kept her, too. He just didn't use a box for that.

Can someone please help me to find this fiction

Looking for a specific post war Tom Riddle/Harry Potter fanfic that I believe was on AO3. The premise was that while everyone thought Voldemort was dead, Harry carries the last Horcrux inside him and raises the baby -which means Tom Riddle is still alive and come to Harry Potter doors saying he wants it back – leading to them eventually becoming a family and even having a media interaction with their baby. their this scene were the baby only drink Harr’s milk ( yes he lactate ) and Harry tries to give him more food but he rejected and on his birthday Harry make a cake from his milk and Tom also eat this cake and says that it’s delicious … please help me to find it .

Tomarry AU where Harry keeps remembering being eaten alive at a party… except no one remembers it ever happened

I don’t even know if this is a full AU or just a recurring nightmare I keep expanding, but here we go.

So we’re in a Hogwarts-era AU where Tom Riddle and Harry Potter grow up together in Wool’s Orphanage. Tom is the golden prodigy Slytherin everyone pays attention to. Harry is… just there. Half-blood, overlooked, unremarkable in the way people tend to become invisible when someone brighter is standing too close.

Not abused in an obvious way, just… selectively ignored. The kind of neglect that doesn’t leave bruises you can point at, just absence where attention should be.

Years pass. Tom rises. The “Knights” form around him. Power consolidates. And eventually, Harry is dragged along into their orbit anyway, mostly because proximity is unavoidable, not because he belongs there.

Harry doesn’t care about ideology or politics or purity. He wants to graduate. Play Quidditch. Sleep. That’s basically it.

One night, there’s a feast after a Knights gathering. Tom leaves briefly, saying he has “business with Slughorn” and tells everyone to stay and behave.

Music starts playing. Something slow, distorted, almost wrong. Climbing Up the Walls by Radiohead.

Harry puts his head down on the table.

And wakes up still there.

Except he can’t move.

And everyone else is watching him.

At first, he thinks it’s a prank. Then he realizes they’re not looking at him like a person.

They’re looking at him like food.

Not metaphorically.

Hands on him. Pulling him apart. Not elegant, not ritualistic. Just… animal. Like something primal broke loose and no one remembers how to stop it.

Orion Black is there. He’s laughing while tearing into him like it’s nothing personal.

Someone climbs onto the table and reaches for his chest.

Harry is conscious the entire time.

He tries to speak. Begs. Recognizes people. Names them. It doesn’t matter.

No one stops.

And then, just as suddenly as it starts, it ends.

Obliviate.

He wakes up the next day in the same room. Same table. Same students eating breakfast like nothing happened.

His body feels wrong.

In the mirror, he looks fine.

But when he lifts his shirt, there are faint marks. Like something tried to erase him and didn’t fully succeed.

And he remembers everything.

Or thinks he does.

From there, it becomes a pattern.

Harry starts avoiding gatherings he doesn’t remember attending.

He panics in the Great Hall for no reason.

He flinches when people touch him.

Sometimes he wakes up with missing time and the sensation of being inside-out.

And the worst part: no one else acknowledges anything is wrong.

Except Abraxas, who refuses to say anything meaningful.

Harry asks him directly:

“What happened that night?”

And he just answers:

“You don’t want to know.”

Which, of course, makes it worse.

Meanwhile Tom notices inconsistencies.

Harry’s behavior changes. He isolates. Explodes randomly. Starts talking about his heart like it’s missing.

One night Harry says it outright:

“You have my heart. Where is it?”

And Tom laughs it off at first.

Then stops laughing.

Because Harry isn’t joking.

The climax is basically Tom finally confronting him after everything spirals:

“What happened at that feast?”

And Harry, barely holding himself together, tells him what he remembers.

Being eaten. Being watched. Being put back together.

And Tom realizes something terrifying:

Either Harry is delusional…

or something happened in that room that even magic tried to erase.

And no one, not even Tom, has the full version of it.

The story ends (or loops) with Tom tearing everything apart trying to find the truth, and Harry still not sure if he is remembering trauma, or if reality itself edited him like a mistake.

Either way, the question stays the same:

If everyone forgot you were destroyed… did it really happen?

Hi guys, I'm new in this part of the Harry Potter fandom (and I absolutely love it already). I read a lot of fics but the ones who caught my attention were these two:

● Emerald Green and Blood Red | Vriller

https://archiveofourown.org/works/55843297

● Just Business | hola_olla1

https://archiveofourown.org/works/56164657

They're similar since they're both set in a modern AU, there's a small age gap, Tom was the top during smut scenes and the older one too. He's obsessed with Harry and only sweet to him, oh how I love this dynamic guys. I'm open to fics taking place in canon but I never found one that really caught my attention (I'm sure I'm not searching that well, that's why I'm asking y'all).

Anyways, if you guys have similar recs pls share it with me, I'm looking forward to it !

PS: the art was made by KoshLis (@Kanra_Nakara on X) not by me. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by not putting credits beforehand. Pls go and support this incredible artist !!

I have been in various fandom spaces for many years, and read quite a variety of fics from different fandoms as well. All in all, Tomary definitely has the highest quality of fics I've read, even if the total sum of fics is less than other ships/fandoms. I have read a great many fics that I felt like could be published literature, including but not limited to ADG, WSAMO, ATTN, Inevitabilities, and so forth. It is to the point I am a bit intimidated to start my own fics, as I have read too many well-written ones for this ship. I mean, I'm not complaining, because I am eating good and having a great time! I just wonder why? Is it because we have a slightly older demographic, or for us to ship this ship in the first place, we exercise critical and creative thinking? Let me know as to what your thoughts are!

Fics where even Voldemort/Tom is scared of Harry

As the title says, I'm searching for fics where Harry does stuff so dark even Voldemort/Tom is scared of him. So that there's like a moment where Voldemort/Tom is like damn what the hell is this.

We all know that tomarry is a dark ship or at least considered one in most cases.First because of the whole moral dilemma and then the age gap and all In between.

We have alot of ffs with dubious consent and obsessive behaviour in general.
But to get back on track I was having a discussion with my friend about Toms character today and we stumbled upon the topic of Non con and the realistic behaviour of him.We have freedom in fan fiction to make our own version that we believe in.

I wanna hear y’all’s opinion about this
