Waitlisted - What are the chances I get in?

I'm on the waitlist right now, what are the chances I get in? Around 10 people got in from my school and at least one (most likely 2-3) people are rejecting their offers.

Background:

- some kid from my school made a list of everyone who applied to TJ and their chances of getting in. I was around Rank 17 and the top 12 on his list would get in. His list was pretty accurate so I trust the list.

- For the SPSs I wrote ~1480 characters for 2 of them and ~1300 for the other 2. My SPS activities were Scioly, FTC, AMC8 (where i got 2nd place in my school and top 5% in all test takers or smth idk) and an Algebra test (don't judge, some kid from my school wrote about his 2 tech ed projects for 2 sps's and still got in!!)

- I have a 3.88 gpa and I'm in geometry + all honors right now.

- I prob won't go to TJ even if I get in because I'm planning to go to the Academies of Loudoun (ACL) but I might go depending on which one is better (Which one is better tho AOS or TJ) and even if i decline my offer my friend said colleges can still see that you were worthy enough to go to TJ, but just declined it (is that true tho??)

Thanks, any advice/answers would be appreciated.

I went to the preview night the other day. Classes seemed like they would be great. The teachers were informative and the students seemed happy. I was planning on accepting admission, but I wanted to ask here before I do. Did any one else find the principal, Michael Mukai Arrogant. I listened to how and what he said to families while I waited for my turn and he came off as though we should be thankful we were admitted rather than as though he is the leader to better our future. He also bragged about his kid at Brown who is a pilot over and over again.

My concern is that if you have some issue and you need to get it resolved as the culture starts from the top, will Mr. Mukai be dismissive of any problems because they do not care about the student and rather himself?

I see a lot of upvotes, but would appreciate comments of any kind before the acceptance deadline. If he is a difficult principal, I may decline admission as the last one was a nightmare.

Is taking Physical Education over the summer a good idea? I know it would free up space in my schedule for another elective, which is appealing. However, I’m coming from a school where only one other student got in, so I won’t really have any friends when I start.

My friend mentioned that taking PE during the school year might actually be better because it’s a more relaxed class and could make it easier to meet people. Now I’m not really sure what to do… should I prioritize the extra elective, or the chance to make friends early on?
