First Tissot!!

Just pulled the trigger on my first Tissot watch. I had been looking for something I could wear daily and I came across this carbon PRX and thought it looked absolutely stunning!

I’m in love with this piece, it’s so easy and comfortable to wear.

Does anyone have any suggestion on other straps that go well with this watch that I could try out to switch it up here and there:)

Got my first Tissot

Finally pulled the trigger on my first Tissot as a graduation gift to myself. Picked it up just yesterday and feels almost unreal. I’ve had this sitting on my safari tabs for almost a year now waiting for the right moment and finishing my degree just felt so. Was worth the wait and I absolutely love the way it looks and fits on the wrist.

23 Jewel - movement

Got this image in an email as part of Tissots mailing list for account holders. Thought I’d share…you can see the synthetic, high-tech polymer escapement (pallet fork and escape wheel) within the middle left of the image. Still pretty cool to see the movement blown apart like that!

White Dial - Tissot Le Locle

Got a new bracelet for this beauty recently and it’s really starting to grow on me. It was previously on a leather strap which was way too formal for my liking and ended up barely wearing it.

With this 7-link bracelet, the more I wear it, the more I appreciate the little details, and now I catch myself looking at it way more than I expected.

Funny how some watches don’t hit immediately, then slowly become favorites.

Who else is a big fan of the undecorated Tissot Rotor?

I really like the redesign of the powermatic rotor. I don't like the waves on the OG ones. Does anyone else relate?

Really loving Seastar on rubber strap.

I like the metal bracelet a lot, but the rubber strap is a game-changer. Looks great.

The PRX P80 Forged Carbon 40mm. Does it look too big on the wrist or just the right size?

[T-Race] Bracelet question

[T-Race] Bracelet question

Right on the edge of buying this T-Race Powermatic. I like it on the rubber strap, but ideally would also be able to swap it out for a bracelet sometimes. Does anybody know where to buy one? There's a blue-dial version that comes with a bracelet, but the bracelet doesn't seem to be available separately.

Which to pick?

So I made a post very recently about my first Tissot watch that I purchased. The PRX Powermatic 80 40mm with the blue dial. I am extremely impressed and happy with my versatile watch, which has since become my everyday work watch and go-to for light functions and gatherings.

For the future though, I do want something more for major events and dinners. My two candidates are the Tissot Gentleman and the Tissot PRX Damascus.

I am torn between these two watches. The PRX Damascus is a unique watch on account of its visually striking Damascus steel construction. Being sized 38mm and having a leather strap means it would be very eye catching. As a bonus, its also a PRX and I have grown to love this watch family.

On the other hand, the Gentleman is as classic as they come. Old is gold is the saying that comes to mind when I see the Gentleman, and its shape speaks for itself. Some may criticise the bracelet, but on a personal level I really enjoy it. And it pairs well with the strap or leather options. Another thing to note is that it comes with the upgraded Powermatic 80 with the Silicium bits inside.

All in all, I am not able to make a decision as to which watch I should purchase next. PRX Damascus vs Gentleman. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Inherited this Tissot from my great grandfather. Not much is known about it. Anyone have any insight on this watch?

Inherited this Tissot from my great grandfather. Not much is known about it. Anyone have any insight on this watch?

Great grandfather lived in Belgium, born in 1901, passed away in the late 90s. I only recently found this, in a box in the attic of my grandparents (recently passed away) in an envelope with my name on it. Nothing else to go with. Had I known earlier I could have asked my grandmother about the significance.

Tissot PR516 won't start — normal low power reserve or possible defect?

I’m very new to this.

I bought my first and new Tissot automatic in Europe and brought it back to the US. I downloaded and read the manual, which was surprisingly short.

When I wore it for the first time, it started running normally and seemed fine. I set the time in position 3 and avoided quick date changes during the restricted hours. It then ran for a little over 30 hours before stopping.

Now I’m trying to figure out whether this is just low power reserve / not enough winding, or if something may actually be wrong with the watch.

I’ve manually wound it in position 1 for more than 30–40 turns clockwise, and I can see and hear the clicks. Even so, right now it is not running.

Does this sound normal for a new automatic that just needs a full wind and regular wear, or does it sound more like something I should take to an authorized dealer under warranty?
