I've rewatched the entire show several times but it's been a few years so i can't recall exactly. I don't think i ever saw any black people on the show. Even in passing. Has it ever been addressed why? I'm surprised at the lack of black extras or love interests considering it's set in california which was quite mixed back then too. I feel like Janet would've been the type to introduce a black love interest at some point. Was the civil rights movement too fresh at that point???
