Kyo-machiya is a traditional Kyoto townhouse.
It’s not just an old Japanese house.
It comes from Kyoto’s merchant culture,
with a narrow street-facing front
and a long, deep layout.
Inside, there is often a small courtyard garden,
known in Japanese as tsuboniwa,
which brings light and air into the house.
I tried to recreate that atmosphere
in The Sims 1.
Hey everyone! I’m finally sharing a project I’ve been grinding on for weeks: my Sims collection from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe! 🧛♀️✨
I really went all out on this one—I even made a brand-new clothing mesh and included 22 different outfits (each with four skin tones). You’ve got the main girl Buffy, our favorite witch Willow, and the total badass Faith. I also gave each of them three different hairstyles so you can pick whichever vibe you like best.
Even if you’re not a huge fan of the show (I’m actually just watching it for the first time right now and I'm totally hooked!), it’s still more Sims and fresh gear for your game. I’ve poured so much love and time into this because I wanted to deliver something top-tier.

If you don’t know what it is, that’s okay - I didn’t either! It’s a FreeSO based server hosting the New Sims Online, it’s a small group right now but everyone is pretty active and welcoming!
They have daily log-in rewards, pretty regular updates, a starter cash bonus so you can build your own house right away if you want. The possibilities are endless! If you’re a fan of the sims, I implore you to join. It’s a casual social MMO with a gameplay loop that is basically about spilling, making money and building a little world online. So cute!
Here's my build of a Trader Joe's, my favorite grocery store! There's a lot of nautical, tiki, and South Pacific decor in the full Sims package, so this is rather easy to put together. It's a community lot where the Sims can buy merchandise, food, and small snack items. I added a grilling area outside because I need a more filling food option. There aren't any entertainment options other than the fire ring.
The parking lot doesn't serve a purpose, but when kids show up from the tour bus, they do run around it.
Any suggestions for making this more Trader Joe's-y?

Could this actually be the lost Elle Woods skin? In the comments, the OP said they found the picture in a site called Invisible Leaves Sims. I found that website, indeed you can see the picture there (and another one) of the same skin (although it doesn't mention 'Elle Woods' anywhere):

Clearly the head of the sim in the picture is not Elle Woods, but the outfit does match the one in the promo picture, doesn't it? Attached to this post, check out the third image (with Elle Woods' promo picture) and compare it to the sim in the picture, to me everything matches. It looks like someone took Elle Woods outfit skin and changed the head with another sim.
Or am I crazy?! LOL
Could this mean the owner of that website might have our lost Elle Woods exe file?!

To become a superstar you need 10 charisma, 9 creativity, 8 body and i saw how using the movie set had a higher chance of my sim succeeding the gig then the runway. I failed the runway a lot, succeeded movies almost everytime. So i tried to bring my fitness to 10... and now im succeeding almost every time at the runway too???
I did not know improving your skill after the skillpoints needed gave you a higher chance at succeeding?
Features are 10 bedrooms, 11 baths, servant wing, cigar room, green ballroom, breakfast room, dining room, 3 drawing rooms, sun room
Did you know kids will punch the vacation mascot if they’re in a bad mood? Pretty sure the resort management will also scold their parents if this and similar incidents happen too often (don’t quote me on that part tho)

More than 100 people have already downloaded my custom neighborhood, “Starlight Palms”! It is completely CC-free and playable for anyone who owns all expansion packs for The Sims.
It’s very important to me that everything runs smoothly, so I’d like to ask you to share any bugs, glitches, or issues you encounter while playing. Feedback on the PDF installation guide is also very welcome.
I’d love to hear all your thoughts so I can polish the neighborhood and make it as complete and refined as possible.

For reference, it's as easy as adding the MP3s of your choice to the programfiles/gamedata/music folder.
I used to add Paramore and Fall Out Boy songs to the build and buy mode music. How about you guys, do you change the music or keep the OG soundtrack in full?
