Gravel sand 600 with white internals

I wanted to make a spacey build without doing pure white and settled on this beast or a rig. Also first PC I've put together, super nerve racking but so satisfying to post on my first try.

So I thought a martian dust exterior/nasa white interior with orange accent colors would be a nice enough visual

Tryx Turris 620 in Tower 300

I am a big fan of air cooling so I thought I'd try this one out. For anyone looking to add this to their tower 300 just be aware that it is heavy and does have some sag. There isnt a way to change the orientation of the screen so you have to do a little work to get the picture oriented correctly. I used a phone wallpaper and switched the orientation in paint. The built in temp readings are basically useless in this orientation as they will always be upside down. The cooling hasn't been bad. Stock 5800x runs around 34 degrees on idle and 68 to 70 playing Warzone.

Has anyone else tried this and how did you address the sag if you had any?

Thermaltake Dr Power error?

Soo I've been doing some testing with my brand new Dr Power 3, and the PSU I'm testing was causing me some issues (see in a different post), and while testing all the cables, I saw THIS happen on the SATA tab.

PSU in question is an EVGA 1200P3 Platinum unit.

Watch that 5V line, at around the 3 second mark.

What is going on there?

Is this just a visual glitch or should something happen that isn't happening in the clip?

It usually hovers around 4.99 and 5.00v, but sometimes they'll flip around and show either 4.00 or 5.99, like shown in the video. That's what I wanna know about.

First time owning/using one of these things btw.

Tested another PSU in my inventory and it's showing 5.12 to 5.13 consistently. Corsair TX750w bronze unit.

Tower 600 Custom Water Loop

Built a red reactor instead of a PC.
Finally finished my Thermaltake Tower 600 custom loop build and it came out almost exactly how I imagined it.

Specs:

  • Ryzen 7 7700X
  • RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
  • ASUS TUF B650M-E WIFI
  • 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30 (A-Data XPG Lancer)
  • Samsung 980 Pro 1TB
  • WD Blue SN580 1TB
  • Custom hard tube loop

Goal was simple:
clean tubing, deep red glow, minimal RGB chaos, silent daily operation.

Still tweaking fan curves and coolant lighting balance, but overall I’m pretty happy with the result.

What would you change next?

Where to buy PCIe Cables?

I brought a psu from ebay but it only came with the two cables shown in the picture(s). I've been told that psu cables are not one size fits all so I've been trying to find ones compatible with the psu (Thermaltake Toughpower 650w Gold 80+) and my gpu (Sapphire Pulse AMD RX 5700 XT 8GB).

I've found these: https://www.newegg.com/p/1W7-00W5-00009 and https://www.newegg.com/p/1W7-00W5-00010

I really know nothing about pcs so I'm not sure which of these to order (or if there's a better option out there). Buying a new psu isn't possible for me either.

SATA Cables Won't Fit in 380 XL Without Bending?

Hello,

So I recently bought a Thermaltake 380 xl. I just started to transfer my parts over to the case, but I've now figured out that the SATA power cables can't fit into the SSD without severely bending the prongs. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not willing to leave my SSDs like that as it feels like it will damage them.

I hope there is a solution, otherwise I would advise people to absolutely not buy this case, very aggravating to have to deal with when you're building your PC.

Finally completed my first SFF build and I’m honestly impressed by how much performance fits into this tiny setup.

Specs:

Ryzen 9 9950X3D with Thermal Grizzly contact frame and Kryosheet

PNY RTX 5080

64GB RAM 6000Mhz CL30

ASUS ROG Strix X870-I Gaming WiFi

be quiet! Pure Loop 3 280mm

Lian Li SP1000 PSU

2TB NVMe Gen4 storage

This build definitely tested my patience especially with ASUS ROG Loki PSU fail and nearly had a heart attack with the 12VHPWR connector.

BIOS/drivers on a took some work because I simply switched the NVMe SSD from AM4 system but seeing it finally POST and run stable made it worth it.

Super happy with the thermals, noise levels, and clean look. Huge thanks to this community because I spent WAY too many nights lurking the group but didn't even realize I was not part of it until now.

Would love feedback/suggestions especially on cable management.

Cleaning and Thermal pasting of laptop

My HP Victus laptop is around 2 years old now, and honestly I’ve never cleaned it even once 😅

I also never changed the thermal paste since I bought it.

Recently I started wondering if high temps and fan noise could be because of dust buildup or old thermal paste.

So I wanted to ask:

- Should I get the laptop cleaned from an HP service center or a local repair shop?

- Is changing the thermal paste after 2 years recommended?

- Which thermal paste would be best for an HP Victus laptop?

I mostly use it for gaming, coding, and regular daily work.

Would appreciate any advice or experience from other Victus users or any laptop user.🙏

And which thermal paste the hp service centre use

Hi all, am almost done with gathering all my parts for my build that i will show here in due time. But i've ran into an issue with what fans to use for my build.

My build is gonna be air cooled so no AIO or water cooling.

My plan was to get 3-4 x 120mm and 5-6 x 140mm fans. But i've noticed the prices are a bit worrisome and been looking at different fans and choices for roughly two days now but i haven't been able to figure out the best option.

I want good fans but don't want to spend over £200 just on fans. So i've been looking at a lot of good deals, often i found were mainly 120mm type of fans.

Okay my question is mainly Would having 6-8 120mm fans be good enough or would i have to go with my plan for 5ish 140mm and 3-4 120mm fans.

I got a 9070xt and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and just want to make sure that i have a good air flow to keep my temps in my tower 600 cooled~

Also if you got any recommendations for good fans for my kind of build let me know. I've been looking at coair and artic as well Lian Li. I wanted to use thermal take fans but the reverse fans cost quite a bit and just wanna make sure am not missing out on a good price/performance option.
