Looks like my favourite marine chapter is in the new Armageddon campaign book and seeing as we already have some of the bits available via the Space wolves Grey Hunters kit. Thought it about time to chuck out a test model for the chapter and get ready for what looks to be an interesting start to 11th ED. Hate is the surest weapon

Brother Artie Naismith returns to Armageddon

Artie Naismith is a crotchety old vet who'd first served as a scout in the 2nd war for Armageddon, earned his place in the Vilifiers during the 3rd, and now takes part in what will most likely be his final tour in the Armageddon subsector.

Figured this'd be an apt celebration of the Marines Malevolent now canon involvement in the 4th war for Armageddon and Operation Imperator. I've had a handful of rogue trader minis for a little while now (original owner's paint scheme in the last slide) and I'm glad to finally give them some love of my own. Had to repose it a bit and endured the horrors of the RTB01 arms, can't say I'd recommend. Otherwise a really fun project.

Primer malevolente

Brother Diego Viktar (and Craig, the servo skull)

Brother Diego Viktar is among the most competent and effective soldiers in his meager station. His sights are set upon joining the ranks of his chapter's legendary first company and gives everything to this pursuit. Little does he truly realize promotion has been kept just out of reach for this very reason; to coax out all he can give to the chapter.

I realized I gave Brother Viktar a very commanding presence for someone in a simple fire support role so I figured that characterization could work well and add to the internal toxicity of the Marines Malevolent and their command structure.

Had to ask around on r/Vitiligo for advice on painting the head. I try to make a point about painting a variety of skin pigmentations on my minis; mostly just so painting faces never gets stale and also so my minis feel more like individual people. I promised myself at one point that I'd try giving painting vitiligo a shot as a sort of skill check but honestly this wasn't really that difficult.

You are more than your rivalry with the salamanders.

Stop trying to leech relevance with comparison to a former legion. Define yourself by your own war crimes
