He seemed to really enjoy the Toy Chasers content and I thought he was also the other person who actually edited the main episodes outside of Billy. Unless I'm remembering wrong. But does he have a YouTube channel or does Melvor only show up on Shady Jays channel?

Jay never said he was trying to recreate anything or carry on some legacy. He’s doing his own thing, on his own channel, the same way he’s been doing for years. It’s just vlogs: him hanging out, filming what he’s doing. That’s it.
Not everything needs to be turned into some bigger narrative.
Calling the video with Chief a “Toy Chasers” copy or acting like there’s some hidden agenda doesn’t really line up with reality. He filmed himself spending time with Chief. That’s all it was. A dude can’t vlog? The OP of that other is expecting a Toy Chasers out of a basic vlog? Really??
Also, expecting it for every video on his channel to be the same style as Game Chasers? Why? Jay can’t do his own thing? It’s a hobby channel. Also, I can only edit with what I’m given. I never claimed to be an editing expert or said this is supposed to replace Billy’s editing. Jay’s going to do what he wants to do and this is what he wants to do on his channel.
The idea that he was trying to take over or “own” anything didn’t come from him, it came from speculation that just kept getting repeated until people treated it like fact.
As a matter of fact, back in October there was a call with several of us on it and everyone agreed that no one could replicate what Billy had and Melvor wasn’t willing to try and neither was I.
No one ever intended to “continue” anything even if Jay had access to the channel. He didn’t want to continue anything, Melvor didn’t want to, Chris didn’t want to, Tim, me, chief, Rob. Anyone that he all talked to agreed to not continue it.
The updates or lack of that everyone has been speculating in regard to the main channel is no one else’s story to tell but whoever was at Billy’s. So when you ask people for updates the only people that can do that are not going to talk to anyone right now.
And none of this no updates should be a surprise. It was already said months ago Jay wasn’t going to come out (anytime soon) and make some big statement. He’s just moving forward.
At the end of the day, Jays channel is his channel. Yes, it’s his channel. He’s going to use it how he wants. There’s no need to turn it into something it’s not or get hostile about it.

I’m trying to give people more of a perspective into why this situation with Woods would seem strange and out of nowhere to us the viewers.
Billy was married with a kid when you have a child and a wife your life changes. You can’t be up streaming at your friends house getting drunk, smoking and making fart jokes, you have a wife and child at home.
I think Billy’s wife put up with the Show because it was Billy’s passion. It clearly didn’t make them much money but she knew it made him happy.
I’ve watched a ton of their content YouTube and live from the beginnings.(bath time with Billy was something I loved hyping him to do LOL) but one thing is certain Jay and friends like Eric love to party. Which to each their own but like I said Billy has a wife and child at home and after several years people can and will grow apart.
I think I could see this happening in real time as the episode # declined over the years and how they would almost never go out of their way to stream with each other and that’s why there is the shady Jay show.
Having a wife and child myself with tons of wild friends in our lives I totally seeing this being the reality. Even Billy’s own cousin Chris has a tremendous drinking problem and both him and Jay were banned from the funeral for a drunken conversation they he on live stream.
Now I’m not trying to throw his wife under the bus or blame anyone but I am trying to show some of you who still frequent here that this is highly likely the scenario we seen played out over the years. This is also why she probably wanted someone like Woods who has a more successful channel to take over and handle the game chasers channel vs Jay.
I know Woods has said some questionable things that make some of you pissed off like having no friends in Texas but the reality is we don’t know how close they were privately or even how close their wives may have been.
I think it’s a damn shame how it played out in Billy’s last days but in the end he made his choice and we all have to live with it.
We could have shared our best memories or funniest clips. We could have shared in the hobby of game chasing and encouraged each other and kept members of the channel within our minds always but instead you guys just bitch and moan and honestly you all tarnish Billy's name and legacy. Fuck you all. I'm out
The recent toy / game hunting videos he's done have been pretty... not good. The editing is shit, it's usually him going about it alone, etc.
If this is the kind of stuff that would have 'continued the legacy' I'm glad Game Chasers died with Billy.
Annoyed because Wood keeps it there and sad bc it is.

Suffice it to say this is a major bummer with a bit of a silver lining. For many of us the DFW iteration of Retropalooza filled the hole that SGC left and was very much synonymous with the Game Chasers. It's not super unexpected given some of the struggles with finding a DFW-based venue the last few years, but still a bit sad. The Houston show still lives on and hopefully that sees some growth from resources being pivoted from the DFW show.
