A few thoughts

I got the game and just had a few questions and thoughts.
I couldn’t figure how to open the door. It’s very weird and difficult to do so on Xbox. (How do you do that)
Also could you change the camera zoom? The cockpit is quite zoomed in and I just wanted to make it a lil more back.
But my problems are that I start at a depot and then it’s a really long drive to the stop. Then there was no passengers so moved forward to the area where buses park. Then it does this weird one where it disables the left front door (just opens one) and also disables the engine so I couldn’t move. No handbrake etc. Very weird and not sure how common for others.

the bus, bus bound or other? (ps5)

wanting to get a bus game on ps5, busbound just came out, the bus has good reviews but people say its buggy, i found bus sim 21 controls really bad, and fernbus/tourist bus sim are mixed. what would be best to get in 2026 for ps5 right now?

Question about crash

Hi, just wanted to know about if it’s crashing on Xbox because I’m debating whether to buy this game or bus bound. Not sure but if it’s crashing then it’s not great but will it be fixed?

A few people ask questions on bus bound but apologies if unrelated to this sub. Does anyone know whether the bus on the image is available to drive. This may sway me to buy bus bound as it’s a decent decker bus and I HATE buses with the 3 wheels side and the 3 doors. Idk why a lot of them don’t just go for simple double decker. Why don’t games add those other buses?

Thoughts so far

I have been sitting on the fence since Busbound dropped like a wet turd. The complete lack of gameplay beyond bus go vroom and the fact that my wheel nearly vibrated through the wall really annoyed me (xbox series x fyi).

Anyway. The Bus.

Tutorials are absolute aaaaaaaaaass. It'll show me how to rent an office, but not how to operate any of the controls or the ticket machine. Took me a hot minute to figure all of that out.

The visuals are both great and awful. The main issue seems to be moving shadows. Pixelated tree shadows caused by trees moving in the wind is a real problem. Also sometimes at junctions the cross road gets heavily pixelated.

The AI is pretty bad. You cross their lane to turn with plenty of space and they will just run right into your tail as you pass.

Where's the consequences for speeding, red lights and colissions?

No auto centering the view. Trying to adjust visual settings will make the bus react. Changing the graphics settings will reset the cab position.

Wtf is with the blaring music?

GPS is awful.

Didn't tell me to skip time so I went from finishing 20 late to being an hour or so early on the return.

All of that being said. The driving feels brilliant. Nice feedback on the wheel, great braking and acceleration feel, although pothole feedback seems non existent. The economy mode really is good and I love the indepth ticketing system. Having control of cctv gives me great joy as well. The game literally does all the things that BB with it's stupid green thumbs and applauding speed bumps doesn't.

If this lot can make a few adjustments to make it accessible for new players that don't have irl vehicle experience like me, stabilise the graphics and fix the feedback from the road then this could be a real gem. More custom liveries and insides would be good, as would Mercedes getting on board.

TLDR: it's like that slightly crazy partner, but they can actually be fixed.

After playing Bus Bound...

I am playing on a base PS5:

I've been playing Bus Bound recently and absolutely hooked on driving a bus! Love it!

Now, my attention also went to The Bus. This looks amazing and absolutely stunning! But also looks way more complicated...

My questions are...

I've read something about a more arcade option. Is this easier or comparable to Bus Bound controls? (Easy, one button actions)

Also, I've read something about Photo Mode? Is this true? (If so, how good is the photo mode?)

Can someone explain a bit, as I am anxious to get super overwhelmed if I buy The Bus... I want relaxing experience like Bus Bound...

Still crashing xbox

It has terrible reviews on xbox store. Is it fixed? On consoles, especially on xbox?

How’s the steering with a controller on PS5 pro?

Hi! I’m a bus driver in real life and thought this game looked pretty interesting. Is it comfortably playable with a controller? I’m used to ATS/ETS2 controller steering and that’s super nice.

Logitech G29 Too Stiff On PS5 Pro But Too Loose On PC

When steering with the G29 on PC, it's decent in that I can change between hardware / software for the force feedback, though it's either too stiff or too loose no matter the settings. At least I can play it. I just wish there were sliders like in all other driving games I play. On PS5 Pro I practically can't play the game, because the steering is crazy strong, and I use a sit / stand desk which makes it shake.
