Layton Lakes glacier/lost treasure

Ever get bored of the missions and chasing game? Sometimes you just have to drive your Saber 4x4 as high as you can, let it tumble down the mountain in flames and then keep going on foot. Anyone else found lost treasure? Where did you find it?

My goodness... bro is ugly af lol

Was running around hunting when I picked up his poop. Excited, I fast travelled back to an outpost switch to Westley (my pointer dog), running back and have him tracking specie. It took him awhile til scent found, he then perform his sneaking decently quick. I crouched and follow him abit then this guy (haggis) cries *silently* (prolly a bug/glitch). I spotted him travelling so I continue to slowly following until I have his feed zone. Took a few photos and spooked him so I have to exit out and reset the time. Came back took the shot and now he is a big fat haggis in my lodge :)

I think the whole process took me around 2-3 hours irl because I tried to get a few photos here and there but this guy has very good eye sight so... he only cries (with sound) for me once. The feeding animation was cute contrast to how he looks lol

First shot was 314 yds. Second shot was 366 yds out on a moving target. Furthest moving shot I’ve had where animal dropped on spot.

Specs for max graphics

Hey just wondering what is needed to play this game at max settings graphically. I am in the market for a prebuilt PC and this is what game I play the most so I would like to get the most out of it. Preferably around $1500 if possible.

QOL Suggestion: Add a favorite <3 option for Store/inventory items so they appear on the top of the list. I will buy all of the gun packs if they do this.

This seems the simplest way to code into the game and every hunter has their favorites but hates scrolling just to restock ammo or swap out of inventory. Discuss: Agree/Tweaks?

I want to attempt my first great one, literally want the easiest stress free grind possible, little to 0 herd management, just dont enjoy it.

Best first G1 grind

The maps I have are Layton, Hirschfelden, Silver Ridge Peaks, Rancho, Mississippi, Emerald Coast, Sundarpatan, Salzwiesen, Askiy Ridge, Torr Na Sithean. I’d prefer to do a deer for my first G1 grind but quite honestly I’d prefer one that’d be easier for someone who does not know how to herd manage, only thing about G1 grinds I know is that I need to find all the species drink zones first then I choose which lakes/rivers but I could be wrong, make it simple and give me a good species to start with, thanks.

Slams to do in game

In certain circles for IRL hunting, more seasoned hunters will try go after a slam or super slam, where they try to get one of each species of a certain animal group (the North American sheep slam for example), or in the case of a Super slam, the most iconic game of their country/continent (the North American super slam of 29 species for example)

If you were to pick from the roster of animals across all reserves available in TheHunter Cotw, which animals would you want to be your slam or super slam checklist?

Or what do you think the likely members of a Cotw Super Slam would be?

Need help finding drink zones please!

So i really want to try to grind for a G1 Fallow on Te Awaroa. I found some conflicting numbers of how many drink zones are needed, some saying 30 others up to 50. I found 34 and have spent hours trying to find more with no success, so I tried shooting one and seeing if it respawns which it didnt (in the same herd atleast). So I believe I havent found all, but im truely clueless where to look further.

The lake and peninsula I circled in yellow I know should have some, but I cant seem to find them even after fully checking again and again. Is it possible there are none, are there things that could prevent it from spawning? Is it possible im misunderstanding respawns?

(Btw if you saw a previous post abt whitetail, I started with them on revontuli but the same happened where I got completely stuck at 56, so I switched to fallow bc I heard its easier and less DZ)

G1 fallow deer #2

200 kills after my first ever g1 fallow deer comes the second one. only thing that sucks about this g1 is the fact that its the same fur type as my last one ( fabled hooded ) still a beauty tho!
