Racquets for one handed backhand

Hi,

I have a one handed backhand and I currently use Babolat pure aero 100 with a 52 string tention.

I need few recommendation as to which racquet should I use for a better one hand feel.

Has anyone here changed from a one hander to a double handed backhand? How has the progress been and how long does that take?

Is 4 1/4 grip size enough for me?

So, I've neither small nor huge hands, typical male hands you can say

The racket I'm planning to buy only has 4 1/4 grip size available, the other 4 3/8 is not as of now.

So, will it be enough for me? Because if i somehow get the 3/8 and it's too big, there's no going back. But with the 1/4, if it's a bit small, i can always apply multiple over grips to make it thick.

The racket is Head Speed Mp Legend 2024.

Returning player racket recommendations

Hi everyone, I want to pick up on tennis again some years. Did a couple games recently with friends again and really loved it. Right now I'm using a super old racket that my parents had laying around but it's awful. I'm looking into getting my own new (or second hand) racket but I'm overwhelmed by all the choices.

I'm looking for a budget-friendly beginner/intermediate racket that can handle some power without losing control. I'm 193cm and physically strong if that is of any use!

What are your recommendations for my specific case?

Which racket to upgrade to

Hi everyone!

So I’ve been playing tennis for almost 4 years now.

Two years ago I bought myself the Wilson Clash V2 100L, and it’s been fine. Something is off I just can’t tell what it is. I think the main concern might be stability.

One things for sure is that it has def become light for me, I think something heavier would help.

I’m looking to buy another racket, anyone have any suggestions?

Can you tell I play favorites

Saw people sharing their collection lately and I wanted to join in on the fun. Can you guess what racket I use now?

Racquet frames don't have to be boring or do they?

Yonex EZONE 100 "Galaxy" edition.
Yonex Percept 100 "Botanical/Jungle" edition.
Custom Painted Racquets.

Personally I would love for racquet companies to at least release more limited edition "art series" type racquets for collectors.

Do you guys like the repetitive boring paint jobs or do you think racquet companies should take more risk?

Does the Blade v10 100 have Turbo and Stablefeel+?

I came across an article that said these two characteristics were exclusive to the 98, but Wilson’s website itself says nothing about that, and I thought the only differences were head sizes.

Wilson PCS 6.1 Buttcap replacement

Picked up an old Wilson Pro Staff Classic 6.1—frame’s in great condition, but the butt cap is completely shot and needs replacing.

Does anyone know if the generic and newer red or red/black Wilson butt caps sold on their website are compatible with this model? I’ve been trying to source the original white/red version, but can’t find any in the UK - only US sellers, and the shipping ends up being pretty pricey.

Head Radical Tour w/ Special Bonus

Okay... I have quite the vast tennis racquet collection. I bargain hunt and look at various sites... look at thrift stores for cheap classics, and whatnot. I always try to get the best deal possible, and usually do. Anyhow, this was my find from a few years ago. Head Radical Tour Twin Tube Oversize from 1995, found it on Facebook Marketplace. The guy wanted $75. I told him if he could let it go for $50, I’d take it. 25 yr. old racquet and it’s in mint condition. This racquet model was used back in the day by Andre Agassi, and again, if you know me, he is my all-time favorite player. Met the seller and made the deal... $50, and pretty happy with it. It even came with the cover, which is in great shape. Bonus! I turned the cover over, and what do I see at the handle end? A very distinctive slanted AA autograph! Holy shit!!! Mint condition Radical with Agassi’s autograph on the cover. Score! Then I take the racquet out and look it over, and right there on the inside of the throat, black marker on black paint job... another AA autograph!!!! Man, I have gotten some good deals on sticks before, but holy hell... nothing like this. I can safely say, at this point... score of a lifetime! less

Cheapest way to get a Blade 100 v10 right now?

Anyone know the cheapest way to get a Blade 100 v10 right now? Is it basically just using the Tennis Warehouse demo credit or are there better options (discount codes, etc)?

Trying to avoid paying full price if possible, appreciate any tips.

Not bad for a thrift store haul!

$2 each. I went ahead and restrung and regripped to them. I would say I have a lot of different play styles covered!

So torn between PA 98 and 100, help!

I’ve been playing with a Wilson Shift now for a couple years, with added weight. I’m a former D1 player who plays about 3-4 times a week. I love to hit hard, and with a lot of spin. I like forgiveness but don’t need a ton of it. I’m torn between the 98 and 100. I’ve tried the 100 and I loved it, easy transition from the shift. I already bought the 98 and it’s on its way to me, but I’m thinking I should’ve gotten the 100 instead. What do you all think?

Input on a new racquet?

Hey everyone, hoping for some crowd input here. Just started playing again after years away and am considering changing sticks for a few reasons.

Current: Wilson K Blade Tour 93 18x20, strung at 57lbs w/16g syn gut power

Reasons to change: I'm older (44y/o now), fatter, a little more broken (knees/shoulder), and don't generate the racquet head speed I once did. Looking for something a little more approachable with a bit more pop that doesn't sacrifice too much for control (love my blades, they do exactly what you say if you talk nice).

Hoping not to spend an arm and a leg, tennis isn't my daily jam these days so not gonna break the bank (I'll let golf do that for me). Trying to stay under $200 per stick, and I don't care if it's the newest model. I'm not tied to any specific brand, so whatever's clever.

Leaning toward either the 2024 Head Speed MP (or more likely the Head Speed Pro), but am open to hearing about what else is out there. Was a solid 4.5, some of that is still in there somewhere...

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance if anyone wants to chime in.
