I actually got scammed from Performance Triggers

I actually got scammed from Performance Triggers

So last year I pre ordered a super selektors, or at least I thought from performance triggers. Atrius had just come out with them..a finally got it after waiting months and had issues with it bending levers and also it didn't line up very well or work with any of the triggers listed on the website.

Well I finally got it running and it's still in my 300 blackout for awhile now.

Anyways I heard someone say recently that red bags were fake ones. I remembered I still had my red bag and sure enough digging back through email, crossing the SKU on PTs website..it was a fake. They had cloned atrius's frt very early on and scammed a bunch of us.

Still not a fan of the super selektors but don't buy from the slimy bastards at PT.

Yet another G$ fail with Arc fire V1

I purchased a precut G$ SSA-E from DeezNuts with an Arcfire V1 and lever blocker, and I can’t get the Arcfire Lever to make the trigger reset at the rear. This is in an old Bushmaster Low shelf lower, (less than 1/8” gap between lever and top of Lower receiver). What am I doing wrong?

Arizona Regulator

11.5” AR15 with Geissele super 42 spring and H2 buffer. Originally ran it with just an H3 buffer. Switching to the Geissele spring and h2 made it more controlled and consistent

Any recommendations? Preferably something off of ar15discounts or primary arms (they ship to my lame ass state)

I ordered a buffer from Grey Market Research and they sent some free stickers! Thought the Skinner one would apply here. 🤣

Upper Issue?

Wondering if someone can help me out. Videos posted. Function check good with the upper off. Once I put the upper on, only fires in semi. I had to take the trigger out and sand it down before the function check would pass.

Super Safety Questions

I've been lurking here for a while as my interest in SS has been growing rapidly. I've noticed many questions about compatibility, cutting, etc get repeated a lot and the information on the wiki is vague. Here are some general questions I have that will hopefully help myself and others:

  1. What platforms currently have a known working SS? (AR, AK, MAC11, etc.) Can we rank these based on difficulty?

  2. What options are available for each of these platforms? Don't need links or endorsements, but a list of known options would be nice if it doesn't break the rules.

  3. Which option is cheapest, most reliable, plug and play vs needs effort to run, etc.

  4. What is the real difference between a FRT and a SS?

  5. What is needed to get a FRT (let's say AR) to work? Springs, barrel, specific type of receivers, etc.

  6. Are there any fully DIY options? How difficult are they?

If anyone has additional input outside of these questions please feel free to share.

Next Level Horus issues with SS

Well I think I made a slight mistake, I have an atrius forced reset safety, I’ve gone through and “tuned” my Mil-Spec trigger for the cam to fit on the safety. Got the Tubbs Flat wire spring and had a Kaw Valley Precision 10oz buffer, I was having issues with the gun double feeding the empty and picking up the next live round in the magazine and jamming both on the ramp, also the last round lock back was not functioning with that buffer. Was reading and people were saying to shave down to 4inches exactly, ended up doing that still had the same issues. (Guessing they may have been running standard buffer tube size) Swapped over to the stock h1 buffer (3.25 inches) ran through a few mags perfectly and thought I had the issue solved for the moment. Went out to shoot the next day and had the same issue come up with the jam on the ramp, ordered a KAK 10 oz heavy buffer only to realize that also measures out at 4 inches lol so guessing I will probably have the same issue with that, any suggestions on buffers? Measuring from the castle nut on my gun to the end of buffer tube is about 6.25 inches. Unsure on exactly what I should be looking for at this point. Appreciate the help on this!

Car15SD with 2.5 lb CMC trigger and drop in FRT (lightest FRT trigger?)

Testing out some changes I've made to my design in addition to the new trigger. It's definitely possible to use the drop in FRTs with single stage triggers, but it really does seem optimized for the two stage and that's where it really shines. Definitely cool too be able to have such a light trigger be compatible. Don't think I have seen one that has a lighter pull weight than two and a half pounds, so definitely one of the lightest.

Arc Fire V2 0-45-90 Question

To those who have/have used the arc fire 0-45-90; how easy is it to accidentally go through the semi auto at 45 degree and throw the lever into arc fire mode? I’m only use to 90 degree semi auto rifles and I usually flick the safety with force to throw it into 90. Have you had any problems with unintentionally going into arc mode?

DDM4 14.5’ with Thunderbeast Dominus SR

This is how it’s running with an H3 buffer and a Sprinco Red Spring. I haven’t been having any jams but it still seems to fast to me. Any suggestions without having to change the gas tube it’s self?

FM9 Super Safety

Been chasing a couple of issues in the pursuit of perfect 100% function over the last few months. I finally thought I solved it only to come to a 90% finished endeavor. I fixed my trigger pull problem by trimming a spring to the perfect height by using the spring wing. I now can squeeze however hard I want and she runs perfectly. The only problem is when I load up a full mag of 31 rounders and even the 50, it shoots a couple, then jams, shoots a couple then jams. But if you only load like 25 they'll run it completely no issues at all and it's awesome! Any thoughts? I've never personally had mag issues ever in anything I own. Using Glock 31 rounders

BUILD QUESTION

So I’m partying out a build for a 24” frt ar15. I have another short barrel carbine length frt I got working. My question is do I have to do anything differently for such a long barrel. You might be asking why I’m putting an frt in a 24” barrel build, I’m putting together a poor mans Rpk of sorts. Thanks for the help

ARC-Fire V2 - So many failure reports. WTF?

ETA: I should said in the title "PROBLEM REPORTS" not "FAILURE REPORTS". My bad. Also understand that I'm not posting this with any ill will toward ASD. I have the Arc V1 and it runs great in an FM AR9 with a timing shim. That being said...

Is it just me or are there a LOT of reports of problems with the V2 coming up lately. I know new products have "growing pains" but this seems a little excessive considering they had the chance to work out all the bugs with V1.

The most common "fix" for the "obsolete" V1 seems to be to just ask AS Des. for a timing shim, provided the end user has followed all the standard FRT configuration steps.

Looking at the "complaints" for the V1, it seems most of them were pretty superficial, including the 180 deg throw to FRT, supposedly "limited" compatability, selector not feeling crisp, and grinding trigger "feel". [ From: www.artakedowntool.com/blogs/blogs/arc-fire-v2-release-frt-week\ ]

The 180 throw to (let's call it "rapid fire") being "clunky" was, I'm sure, intentional in the AR design. Being a military weapon, it was likely so inexperienced soldiers don't waste all their ammo by accident. The rapid firing mode has to be the result of conscious intent. Same reason the AK "rapid fire" setting is in the middle. In a panic, the soldier slaps off the safety and it goes past "rapid fire" to Semi.

As for "grinding sensation", or "not a crisp selector detent", I sure don't feel that at all.

Regarding "Limited to to AR-15, MCX, MP5, and a handful of others" - Jeez, that's not enough? That's some pretty wide compatability! I'd expect a totally different version JUST for HK MR556/MR762, B&T housings, etc. that are now supported.

I suspect that the attempt at wider compatability may be a big part of what has made it less reliable in the originally supported platforms?

I hope they figure it all out soon, but what do I know? I'm probably completely wrong.

Most often heard from non-FRT shooters at the range?

I'll start. (all heard personally by me so far)

  • Wow! (lot of this)
  • Looks like that thing's got a fun switch!
  • Holy shit, that was awesome!
  • Are you hitting anything when you fire that fast?
  • Bet you go through a lot of ammo!
  • Are you,...is that,...are you an FFL? (while he walked up to me as if in a trance. LOL)
