SoM was my first RPG experience as a 10yo in 1993,the game still means a lot to me, i’m sure many have seen these pics before but wanted to share, the art of Katsuya Terada really inspired me.

I'm someone who has always been a stickler for playing "games as they were intended" or in their most raw form. But from what I've heard and loosely remember about playing the original in my early childhood, the script is awful in the SNES version.
Would you say the remake justifies a purchase solely because of the new script? And as an extra question. WIth the added hidden content in the "Reborn" patch of the SNES version. How accurate is the script to the original japanese script, and is it possible to play that patch WITHOUT doing the missing zones that got re-added back so I can fully get the original experience of the game?
