Schott 688 . Feels like armor. How it fits guys?

I recently got this jacket used and I'm not sure what era it is. I'm pretty sure it's a 125 but that's it. Could anyone help me with some more information? Thank you

Back for another round with this Schott 133, size 48. This jacket has been used hard over the years and the patina is incredible. it really hits that heavy workwear Carhartt vibe that you just can’t fake. It has a cropped fit that makes it feel surprisingly modern, and the removable tartan lining makes it very versatile throughout the year. Does it still fit me?

It’s a classic 1940s delivery style, very similar to the Schott 540 they made for that Bruce Springsteen movie. Since my unsanforized raw denim was apparently a bit too much last week, I’m rocking Uniqlo pleated trousers today to keep things a bit more simple for everyone.

For reference, I’m 183cm (6’0”) and 97kg (214 lbs). Keep or sell?

Bought this perfecto 418 three days ago and the second I try to put my hands in my pockets the armpit and arm seam seems to have ripped , how do i repair it if possible

Just bought a really clean example of a 1990s Style 125 in Size 48 no cuts or scratches but is missing the zip in Pile Liner. I will be sending it to Schott For a New Liner I have done this many times in the past because most people zip out the liner and misplaced it when it comes time to sell the Jacket. But not to have any cuts holes or scratches it’s worth it not coming with a liner.

I am very interested in Schott’s Lightweight Unlined Trucker Jacket (582), though I’ve never seen it in person. There are no shops that carry Schott in my area.

Though the jacket comes in only one color (whiskey), I’ve see quite a lot of variability in how it appears online. The first image (Nordstrom) shows it as a camel/tan color that I think is beautiful. The second from Schott’s website shows a much deeper mocha-esque brown, and I’ve even seen a couple images that appear darker.

Assuming both of these images are of new/unconditioned jackets, they appear completely different to me. I’d hate to order it online from a final sale and end up with a jacket that’s way more rugged (darker) than I hoped.

Can anyone on the sub who has a 582 comment on which presentation is more accurate? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I thrifted this bad boy recently, confident that its characteristic smell would go away after 1 day on my patio.

Couldn’t have been more wrong, hence the request of all tips and suggestion to treat this leather and eliminate at least part of that strong old leather smell. Thank you in advance !

Hey all. Decided recently to take the plunge and buy a Perfecto after awhile of wanting one. Recently popped into the Schott store in NYC to try a few on. Eventually settled on the 618 as I'm tall and thin and need the slimmer fit. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but wanted to hear y'all's thoughts on the fit of this 618 in a size 40. Feels just about right everywhere but worried about the sleeves getting any shorter with wear (sales person told me this happens as they wrinkle with wear). Should i be concerned with the sleeve length? Thanks!

Picked this up at Goodwill. Well loved condition and fits me like a glove. $20 seemed like a steal.

The small white pocket tag only says “Lot” and “Size 40.” The logo label appears to be from the early 80’s.

Grateful for any insight on the model and vintage from you Schott aficionados - thanks in advance.

Wondering what model this jacket is as it has branded schott zipper by ykk and schott branding above the coin pouch also looks to be missing a liner from the internal zipper the jacket also measures to a 40 or medium also curious if there’s any way to get an idea of the year it’s from thank you!

Beautiful unlined trucker jacket in a whiskey color. I got it 2 months ago, and it still smells of leathery-goodness. The unlined leather feels really nice on-body, and the color stands out and is a massive compliment-getter.

I’m looking to part ways with this jacket for a few reasons. This was my first real leather jacket purchase, so I learned many things.

First reason is I’m planning to buy an Aero highwayman jacket, and it was more expensive than I anticipated with all of the modifications. I’m looking to save up for it to buy it for myself as a 25th birthday gift!

Second reason is that the sizing on the back and shoulders is a little snug on me, I can’t even wear a light long sleeved shirt with it. I feel a little silly spending over 1k on a jacket that I can’t wear with most things. I tried on a medium too, but it felt far too big, I didn’t like the way it looked.

Third reason is I overestimated how much the jacket would break in. I’ve learned now that the leather won’t really stretch out per-se, it really just loosens up. I think I would much prefer a slightly oversized jacket that breaks in the drape over the body like a blanket. That is why I am going for a highwayman in CXL steer with a quilted lining. Weighted blanket as a jacket haha.

Sale Price: 750 USD - haven’t shipped anything like this before so hoping to work it out with the buyer but CONUS would probably be the easiest for me.

Received a brand new suede jacket from mail and found a small scar under the right armpit. Should I worry/return? Probably that is chosen to make the armpit part as that is almost hidden. But my worry is not about aesthetic but structural.

Would that propagate if not taken care of? I could return that but the vendor does not do exchange so I probably can’t buy another at the same price which is pretty decent.

I stopped by the Schott NYC store yesterday and fell in love with the 531W in black pebbled cowhide. Beautiful jacket, very structured, and the pebbled leather gave it a rugged look I really liked. Price was $925.

I also looked at the 2408W, which is also cowhide but without the pebbled finish. That one was $425 and made abroad.

I did prefer the look and feel of the 531W, but the 2408W was still very nice. When I asked the sales rep about the price difference, he told me the pebbled leather adds a bit, but the main reason is labor: the cheaper one is imported from Pakistan, while the other is made in the USA.

So now I’m wondering: other than the pebbled texture, a bit more structure, and the made-in-USA factor, what am I actually giving up if I choose the 2408W? (Tried adding links below)

At less than half the price, the 2408W seems like a very compelling option, so I’m trying to figure out whether I’m missing something important.
