Hey everyone ,

I am looking to take admission in SASTRA university for BTECH biotech/bioinformatics .

I need some genuine advices about placements , college also I am North Indian so do I actually face language barriers in classes and all and what are the pros and cons of college ?

Hi i am a 1st year student in sastra from ECE core i personally feel that cg is not a criteria for companies my brother who studied in ece core got job in other college but his cgpa is hardly 6.9 my brother is now insisting me to focus on skills try to learn them so that u can start earning money now itself. I also feel that cg is just luck bcoz during end sem lab i got difficult drawing in CAD and difficult exp in Che but my friends got the easy one so beth is based on the luck only i feel, i also asked some of the 4th year seniors about this in ece branches VV people and they are telling me to prepare for GATE becoz of the current placement scenario in VV that too in ECE core if you r a senior pls suggest something i am confused btw all these things.How many times my bro told my parents about cgpa is not the thing that company is wanting u need to have skills my parents r not able to understand that cg is just the thing that is like a id card in the clg without that u r not allowed to enter that's all.They r expecting me to get more cg like 9+ since i got 8.78 in my 1st sem. Like i am confused in thinking whether to satisfy my parents by getting good CG or satisfy my brother by focusing on skills or satisfy myself by preparing for gate what would you all say i personally feel like writing gate is good so that i can go to IITs and NITs for my MTECH because i missed a chance in my BTECH so what would u all say and how is placement scenario in ECE branch currently?
