Late posting but long time lurker!

I always knew I wanted a stone different from a diamond. I told my fiance that I wanted a sapphire (his birthday month stone) with some small diamonds. I feel so bad but for the past year I have changed my mind so many times about what I wanted but finally sent him some ideas and companies and he did perfectly.

1.4 radiant cut teal sapphire with .15 kite diamonds on the side.

Ring size 5.5 but probably will resize soon to a 5

We’ve been together 9+ years and he proposed back in February while on a vacation with our parents. Ring was only mid-stages of designing, so he proposed to me with an origami ring made with the design drawing 😭. Towards the end I helped picked the sapphire and asked for the band to be hammered, but outside of that it’s all him. I AM THRILLED it’s so unique. Feels so weird to finally have it after going naked since late Feb.

Size 6, and while I don’t know every detail, I do know both stones are a little over 1 carat, and the sapphire is from Tanzania. He very specifically chose this jeweler; they are a women-owned company and focused on ethical/traceable sourcing and low environmental impact.

Got engaged in the fall. I am absolutely in love with my ring. We’re going to get bands later this week and was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I was thinking about a simple gold band but my ring is quite low profile (which is what I wanted for comfort) which might make it difficult for a band to find under. I’d like something I can wear alone without the engagement ring too.

Custom design so I knew already but I'm so happy.

Just got my engagement ring and I am in love. Wanted to share it here! We found an amazing, artistic, local jewelry shop that helped me design it. (I told my fiancée not to propose with a ring because I wanted to pick it out myself hehe.) She is size 7, 14k gold with a .79 ct Australian sapphire and natural diamond accents. She sits high to fit a wedding band underneath (still to come!). The color is stunning, she's so unique, I'm just so happy. <3

We replaced my original stone with this beautiful 2ct emerald cut Australian Sapphire. Photos will never do her justice as she is always changing colour and sparkles like nothing I’ve ever seen.

Completely in love with my chameleon of a green sapphire engagement ring! However I’m second guessing my wedding band choice, which I purchased recently and the wedding is still in a few months. Aesthetically it’s exactly what I pictured, but now that I have it, it’s a lot chunkier than I expected, in that it juts out farther than the e-ring band, and sorta irritates my other fingers, the milgrain seems especially tall so I thought about having a goldsmith file it down. I know wearing them on different hands is an option, but I initially chose these designs so I could wear them together.

Are these mismatched? And if so, what would you suggest re: returning it and looking for something else vs trying to have it modified by a goldsmith, or just wearing on different hands?

I proposed to my girlfriend of 8 1/2 years this morning (yes, I know — we met in college and have had several huge life events over the years that’s pushed this off) after I managed to surprise her with a luxurious breakfast at home :) she knew I’d be proposing sometime before her birthday in late June and was part of the design process, and I’m not great at keeping surprises to myself, so I’m thrilled that I managed to pull it off!

Her ring: an emerald cut lab sapphire, ~1.7 carat, with vintage-inspired rounded corner prongs and baguette sapphires bezel-set on the side! Platinum and size 8. (I’m pleasantly surprised at how much light comes through the low setting, TBH.)

My ring: a ~1 carat color-change sapphire (mostly green, but looks much more yellow under artificial light), cushion cut, in a deep bezel set and 14kt gold. Size 10.

They’re perfect. I’m so happy 😭

Long time lurker, first time poster. It happened!!! I got the man of my dreams and the ring of my dreams all at once! Dark sapphire with bezel pavé halo setting. She’s perfect! Almost black in low light, but blue in the sun. 🖤

just got engaged and love my ring!! I‘ve always liked a sapphire in a princess diana style. this is different obviously but I actually really like it. my partner designed it with a jeweler but to me it looks vintage in the best way. it’s a vintage 4ct (3.96) sapphire with kite diamonds in 14 karat gold. ring size 5.25.

We finally picked up the beautiful green sapphire ring we had custom designed! I’m so happy with how it came out! It’s gorgeous!

I’m a little concerned with the size currently as it twists easily and feels like it shifts a little on my finger when I wear it. I plan to wear it for a few weeks before deciding if it needs adjusting as my fingers tend to swell and shrink DRAMATICALLY with the temperature thanks to poor circulation.

Not typically a jewelry person so if anyone has some insight in determining ring fit I’d appreciate it!
