I tried Bill Miller's new cheeseburger

It was fine. I wasn't sure what to expect. Given that it was Bill Millers, I wasn't expecting amazing things, but I was intrigued that they were grilling them fresh.

It tasted fresher than a lot of other fast food options, but it was fairly bland. I got the combo with fries and a tea for $11.50. I was left still a bit hungry.

I might give it a few months and try it again to see if it gets better, but I think I'll just stick to cheaper fast food options or more expensive but better tasting options.

CPS throttling thermostats?

For the past two weeks, the internal temp (big numbers), has not gone below 73 degrees, no matter what I set it at. Sometimes when I set it to 73, internal temp will go up to 74-76.
I live in a newly built apartment, barely 800 sqft so it doesn’t take much to cool my space.
Is CPS throttling thermostats?
I’ve replaced my a/c filter and it doesn’t seem to be the root of the issue. I have pets so I change it every month. I will request maintenance, as it’s now getting hotter outside and I can’t comfortably just turn the a/c off like I had been in the beginning.
I can also only imagine how much this is running my bill now.

Deciding between job offers

So Ive been offered an overnight stocker position at HEB as well as a Juvenile Residentail treatment/ correction officer position in a 24 hour period. I’m having trouble deciding which path I want to take. the HEB would be night shift and is only a 10 minute drive from me. The corrections would be more like 40 plus. I would like to become a patrol officer in a few years if I take that path. I also have another potential offer for CNC machining but in my experience these places aren’t the healthiest places to be. It does have AC , again this one hasnt been offered yet but i think likely by end of the week. i may pursue both for a while as the HeB is 10pm-6am and the corrections I would start off in training academy 8-5 for 4.5 weeks, so I could maybe pull of both to see what I like better. obviosuly would be quite hard tho unless I was transparent with HEB about moonlighting and needing to get off a little earlier to make the commute. does anyone have any advice? this is obviously a good problem to have, as I have been searching for months with nothing to show until now. Retirment in 20 years would be nice

Some of my favorite dusk and night photos of downtown SA over the past few months

I've been in a wildlife photo kick lately but seeing some of the other recent SA nightlife photos made me go back a few months and pick out some of my favorites from the city/night category.

Hopefully 2nd time is the charm as my prior post seemed to have lost all the uploaded photos (yes I suck at Reddit)

Does anyone remember the clothing store Papaya?

It had a Forever 21 vibe to it with prices to match. I remember one at North Star Mall if I’m not mistaken, but could have closed down. Does anyone know if they moved locations or permanently closed?

SAWS board unanimously vote to move forward on four-year rate hike plan

The mayor sits on the board. The city council has the final vote on the proposed rate hike plan on June 11. If approved, water bills as early as July 1 or soon after will see the monthly increase.

The city was also proposed to increase property taxes. They said that final vote should be around September. I hope everyone protested their property taxes this year because things look like they are going to get much more expensive.

Help find my hair cutter

Hello fellow losers. I need help finding the dude that used to cut my hair. I had no idea it would be such a battle to find a hair stylist that really knew my head.
His name is Lee and he used to work over at Doo or Dye on Mulberry and San Pedro back around 2003-2006 or so.
There was some issue when the owners got divorced or something and he left. I had his number for years, but I’m an idiot and lost it/didn’t keep in touch.

I need him. I’m getting older now and don’t have the patience I used to have for crappy haircuts.

I know it’s a long shot, but if anyone has info I’d be super grateful.
