Jobs to keep pup entertained

Anyone have “jobs” for their Samoyed to help keep them stimulated and entertained? Our 7 month old pup, Anchovy, could use a job! He is getting himself into trouble (digging, chewing walls, etc.) so we’re looking for some tips on how to keep him busy when we need a few minutes to ourselves. As a working breed, we would love to give him a “job”. Anyone have a recommendations for us? Thank you!

any advice for heavy matting? details below! pup tax included <3

My boy was in the care of loved ones for a good bit while I recovered from brain surgeries and things of that nature. During this time though I think only his top coat was brushed, as his bottom coat feels thick and wooly/matted. His tummy is the worst. Any advice for how to tackle undoing it? My fear is a groomer shaving him down.
