A Cold Front Is Bringing the Rain Richmond Needs — Here's the Timing

Projected rainfall amounts into Friday

🔥 Fire Danger Statement in effect through 7 PM tonight — low humidity, SW gusts to 25 mph. Keep it off the grill.

A cold front arrives Wednesday, bringing scattered showers and the best rainfall of the event Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Richmond picks up around half an inch; southeast Virginia and NE North Carolina could see close to an inch.

Mariners: Small Craft Advisories expanded along the VA/NC coast and Currituck Sound. The

weekend looks warm and mostly dry.
