Finally got delivery of my RTX 300 after 150+ days

First impressions after delivery:

  • Engine refinement feels really good
  • Suspension is surprisingly impressive
  • Weight management feels much better while riding than expected
  • Overall, the bike genuinely feels worth the wait

Also:

  • Registration process in Karnataka took around 2–5 days after invoicing
  • Dealer delivered only after permanent registration (no TR)

After considering alternatives like Dominar, Xpulse, etc. during the waiting period… I’m happy I stayed with the RTX.

Book an RTX only if you have the patients to wait.

I had booked an RTX on 11th Jan, 2026. Till today, TVS isn't sure of when they will be able to deliver my bike. It's been over 120 days with the wait.

Even today, I contacted an executive at the showroom, and he said that they don't have any update on the delivery.

Idk what are they making in their factory that it's taking them over 4, 4.5 months to deliver the bikes.

This experience is turning out to be very very frustrating.

Hello beautiful folks

I want to know which TVS service centres are good in Mumbai, especially near Thane/Mulund area. I know TVS service centres are infamous for bad service, but still there might be few ones which might be better than others and make my experience less bad. I will get my TVS RTX delivery soon, and want to be prepared in advance by researching about the service centres. Please help a fellow rider out.

Thank you.

1800km on the new Apache RTX 300: Adi Kailash, Darma Valley, and high-altitude performance (Review)

I just returned from an epic 1700 km expedition starting from Dehradun and heading deep into the Himalayas—Adi Kailash, Om Parwat, Darma Valley, and Munsyari. My Apache RTX 300 is now about 2 months old, and after putting it through some of the toughest terrains in India, I wanted to share my experience.

1. Performance & Power

The performance of this bike is honestly impressive. I was riding alongside friends on a Honda CB350 RS and a Triumph Speed T4. Even though those are 350cc and 400cc machines, the RTX 300 felt much more powerful overall.

Where the RTX really shines is in the hilly areas. The torque delivery is punchy, and it felt way more eager to climb than the other two bikes. It’s got that "get up and go" attitude that you need when you're navigating steep hairpins and narrow mountain passes.

2. The High-Altitude "Oxygen Test"

This was the biggest surprise for me. I used to own an Xpulse 200, and when I took it to Ladakh and Spiti, the power drop was massive—around 30-40% loss because of the thin air.

On the RTX 300, the drop was barely noticeable. Even at the highest points of the Adi Kailash trek area, the power felt consistent. I’d say there was only a 10% drop at most. The fuel injection and engine tuning are clearly handled much better on this platform for high-altitude riding.

3. Mind-Blowing Mileage

I’m still struggling to believe this, but I averaged 37.4 km/l over the entire trip. My route was roughly 40% highway and 60% hills/broken off-road patches. For a bike that was being pushed hard in the mountains, getting nearly 38 km/l is incredible.

4. The Not-So-Perfect Bits (Negatives)

No bike is perfect, and here’s what I noticed:

  • Body Noise: On off-road sections, when the bike jumps or hits a hard bump, there is a noticeable "clattering" noise from the front plastic/fiber body parts. I also heard a bit of a rattle from the rear—likely the chain or some loose fittings. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s there.
  • Cruise Control Glitch: Once in a while, the cruise control would just stop working. The only way to fix it was a "soft reset"—turning the key off and restarting the engine. After that, it would work fine again.

Final Verdict

Overall, I am highly satisfied. If you are looking for a machine that can handle long tours and high-altitude passes without breaking a sweat, the RTX 300 is a serious contender. It’s light, fast, and surprisingly fuel-efficient.

Check out the photos from my ride below, and if you have any questions please ask, i'll be happy to answer them.

Scared to get it

Please help me everyone!!!

Hi Everyone, I ordered the RTX300 BTO, 2 months ago and am currently waiting for it. But I see many posts and comments that the engine is failing and multiple electrical issues and glitches which genuinely scares me. I'm not even sure at this point if I will enjoy the bike considering I will be worrying every minute on whether it'd go bad. What do you guys think I should do? Should I cancel it and go for the Scrambler 400X?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Tvs rtx test ride

Trust me, this bike is incredibly smooth. I rode a Himalayan for 200 km just to compare it with the RTX 300, and honestly, the RTX is way more polished than the Himalayan 450. The engine sounds super soft and buttery when you rev it, then it gets a deeper, bassier tone. Plus, it looks massive, much bigger than the Him 450.

BTO booking procedure

Hey everyone,

Once the BTO variant is booked through online, will the dealer get automatically assigned? Or we get an option to choose which dealer we want?

Also do we need to pay full amount as soon as we book it online after paying 20k?

Thanks

Delivery day felt unreal. The finish, the stance, the road presence… proper head-turner. Even standing still, the bike just looks aggressive.

Took it out for a short ride right after delivery. Initial impressions:

  • Engine feels smooth and responsive
  • Riding posture is surprisingly comfortable
  • That Viper Green shade pops crazy under sunlight

Still in the break-in phase so taking it easy, but already loving the feel.

Quick update on my RTX 300 booking (Nov 28, 2025).

After 150+ days of waiting (and even escalating via NCH earlier), my bike finally reached the showroom. Dealer mentioned they received only one unit, which was allotted to me.

Wednesday(29-Apr):

  • Completed full payment
  • Took a short test ride (felt great — engine refinement & suspension were impressive)
  • And now invoicing process has started

Dealer also mentioned:

  • No temporary registration (TR)
  • Delivery will be done after permanent registration (2–5 days) — Karnataka

So things are finally moving after a long period of uncertainty.

Given the earlier situation where even TVS support mentioned no clear delivery timeline, this feels like a big step forward.

Wanted to check with others:

  • Are deliveries happening in limited batches like this?
  • Anyone else in Karnataka getting delivery only after full registration?
  • Any last-minute PDI tips before final delivery?

Will update again after delivery.

RTX 300 Top Black Model Delivery issue.

Is there any issue with the RTX Top Black model? Because at my vendor, Blue colour deliveries have already reached up to the 20 January booking dates, while my 9 January booking for the Top Black colour is still pending.
