4-Channel Rotary Mixers

Just got my first turntable with my 2 CDJ 2000 NXS. Need suggestions to trade out my DJM 900 NXS. Not a big fan of the Euphonia and definitely not in the budget.

Much Love

Hello everyone, as you can see from the title these are my 2 options. The warm 4 is around £1200 and the mastersounds is £1850 used. These will be used with 2 turntables and 2 XDJ/CDJs down the line.

Fortunately I have the budget for both, but want to make sure the mastersounds is worth the extra if anyone has any experience or input? I will also have a 4 channel fader mixer.

Thank you

I’m looking to build out a dual-turntable setup for my home. My goal isn't to become a performance DJ; I primarily want a high-fidelity listening experience with the ability to "keep the music going" by blending tracks when I have guests over.

My Criteria: Use Case: 100% home use. Primary focus is sound quality, secondary is smooth transitions. Style: No scratching or juggling. Just long, smooth blends and beat-matching.

The Gear: I need two turntables and a 2-channel mixer.

The Stylus Question: Since I’m focusing on listening, I’ve been wondering about running two different styli. For example, using an Elliptical or Fine Line stylus for critical solo listening to get the most detail, but switching to a more rugged Spherical (DJ) stylus when I'm actually mixing or having people over. Does anyone else do this? Is it worth the hassle of swapping headshells, or should I just find a "high-end" DJ stylus that bridges the gap?

Current Thoughts on Gear: Turntables: I'm looking for something with a solid pitch fader for beat-matching but won't break the bank.

Mixer: I’d prefer something with excellent internal pre-amps. I’ve seen people mention Rotary Mixers for this kind of "listening first" workflow—are they worth the learning curve for simple blending? What would you recommend for a "Hi-Fi DJ" home setup? Open to any and all suggestions on decks, mixers, and the "dual stylus" theory.

Merci!

Best DJ Isolator Unit?

Whats the best DJ Isolator Unit?
Currently I’m looking at the teile3 b& and the bozure 202.
How do they compare sound wise? Or is there a better isolator unit?

Omnitronic trm 202 Dead Channel Issue, where to from here?

Hi guys:

So I was stupid and impulsive and bought an omnitronic trm 202 on the second hand market last month. Great mixer, sound etc but..last week: output to my left hand speaker from chanel 1/chanel 2 phono became very quiet/non existent.

Swapped turntables and the issue is in those channels in particular. Turntable is solid, speakers work fine in other set ups.

Question:

Is this fixable? Either asking a tech to fix or learning to fix myself are my two options. Omnitronics customer support didnt even reply to my email lol..

If i do just buy a replacement: what is comparable at the 200- 300 price point?

I really liked how the omnitronix 202 set its eqs and i loved having master isolaters to play with...plus to my virgin ears the sound was so good :(

Any suggetions?

Thanks

Recording mixes with external EQ/isolation chain — best practice?

Trying to dial in the best way to record my mixes and curious how others are handling this with external mastering chains.

Current setup is an ARS 4100 with an ARS 5000 EQ and ARS 3500 isolator patched through the master send/return loop:

4100 Master Send Out → 5000 EQ → 3500 Isolator → VU Meter → Master Send In

What I discovered is that the Rec Out/Tape Out seems to be pre-master/pre-insert, so my recordings aren’t capturing the EQ/isolation processing.

For those of you running rotary mixers with external EQs/isolators, where are you recording from to capture the “final” sound of the mix? Booth out? Main out with attenuation? Dedicated recorder output? Curious what’s considered best practice in real-world setups.
