RM1C Comp...soon, my sweet

Just gotta wait the 10 days...can't wait to shoot this. Haven't decided about optics yet.

A Gun that I really really really want (corrected repost)

So just for a bit of context, I'm a gun nerd without any guns. I drool over theoretical builds that will never be. That being said I'm actually pretty close to buying my first gun, and the Rost Martin RM1C Comp seems like it combines a lot of features in a compact ergonomic package that I can get behind.

I've seen what a few other people have run on theirs, like ChrisTV who reviewed the RM1C with the TLR 7 Sub which fits the gun perfectly, or how some run Micro dots with the RMSC pattern plates and how good those look, as well as how much cheaper those dots tend to be over their larger counterparts. I'm also a fan of competition shooting and think gas pedals on carry guns are a sick addition, and since the texture could be better on the Compact models fixing that is probably a priority too.

So the theoretical Gun build would contain

• a Rost Martin RM1C Comp (obviously)

• an Osight SE on the RMSC plate

• the TLR 7 Sub (as the light but also a host for)

• the Antimatter Industries Micro Wing

• and probably some handleitgrips

I Added a few pictures to help construct the idea since other people have already done bits and pieces of this build for me already, and also just to mention, a holster for this build doesn't yet exist but you can find Arex Delta holsters fitting the TLR 7 sub that will fit this setup more than well enough.

First range trip with the new RM1C

It was a beautiful day and I had 2 new toys to try out. The RM1C and the Canik SFx Rival.

I started pretty close at 7yds just to get the feel of it, then moved out to 25 yds. Unfortunately the baseplate for the optic was coming loose, so I was only able to put about 130 rounds through it before I moved on.

First impressions, I really like how it feels in my grip. The recoil was more of a 'pop' than a 'snap'. Not sure if that makes sense. Very manageable recoil and even with the optic issues I still had some fairly good groups at 25 yds. I definitely need more time with it to tighten up.

I started off with Federal Champion 115gr that I use for range plinking. It shot without any feeding issues, but the ejection was always right in my face, literally shot straight up in the air. I own 7 auto pistols and until now have not had that happen. I swapped out to Sellier & Bellot 124gr and the ejection issue went away. I'm not sure if it's specific to Federal cartridge or the grain. I think however this bad boy needs the good stuff so from now on, it gets only the premium ammo.

One of the other range visitors had to come over and check it out. Was pretty pleased with the look and feel. I offered him a magazine to try it out but he refused.

Overall, this was a blind buy that I am very happy with, and I can't wait to go back out with it.

I won't lie, I've never heard the name Rost Martin

Saw it on that YouTube video and instantly wanted to try one. None of the LGS in my area had one to get a feel for, so I just ordered it on blind faith.

I grabbed the kit with optic, extra mags and range bag. So far, not really impressed with the optic.

It feels great in my hand and I can't wait to take it to the range!

A few bill drills drawing from the holster (ignore the noisy drone)

Run a few bill drills with my RM1C. I was there to zero a rifle and put in a few rounds through the RM1C. Seeing the time it looks kike I need to run these drills more. 3 seconds is too slow.

Validation pouring in

Not that I NEEDED someone to say how awesome this gun has been, but seeing a big gun YouTuber do a review on something you love is satisfying to see. Ever since I took a shot (pun intended) on the Rost Martin I been telling anyone that’ll listen that it’s a crazy good budget buy. Rivals some “mid tier” options and honestly it’s one of my favorite to shoot (do not use the viridian sight though)
