The rise of AI "artists" is driving me crazy

I found them on Apple Music: there are about fifty albums, each one just as shitty and soulless as the next—what a nightmare! Have you found any others? I wish I could ban them

Small riddim/tearout festivals

Are there any small (under 5k attendants) riddim festivals in the US worth checking out? Been out of the scene for a bit, really REALLY enjoyed thr first year of Lost Lands, first year of Summoning of the Eclipse, disappointed that they got big n expensive. Yall lmk what I should be checking out, tia

why are most songs still 140bpm?

its a fine tempo but why do artists keep making almost every track at 140 (or somewhere around there) and then almost EVERY SET is faster like 145-150. like artists will make a bunch of songs at 140 and NEVER play them at that speed its literally always faster i just dont get it.

How exactly do people in this genre "blow up"?

Considering a few factors that I've personally noticed:

•Majority of people are making the same-ish Square 4 Riddim. No one is really standing out in the sound design department. No one's reinventing the genre . It's almost like a "follow the leader" type of deal.

•everyone knows everyone , due to how small and tightnit the scene is as a whole. It's common knowledge that it's more of who you know(connections) and what you bring to the table ,that determines if you're going to be successful in the scene. But if everyone knows everyone, including promoters and the "higher ups",why are only certain people "making it" few and far between?

I guess In summary, what I'm getting at is if everyone and everything is majority "samey", and everyone virtually knows everyone, then what are some unspoken things people would have to do in order to play festivals, get a major deal with a collective/organization,etc.? I've seen some names that I've been seeing and even listening to the past 5-7yrs ,just NOW blow up in the sense of playing huge shows and festivals, even collabing with huge artists. warlord would be the best recent example. I see he just collabed with OG Nixin, and is playing Cyclops Cove 4. Very very big opportunities(major love to warlord! You deserve it!)

These are all questions out of curiosity. And Id love for genuine answers and advice , especially to help any artist who stumbles upon this with the same questions, who's trying to have any form of success in this scene. I myself am more of an "audience member" who's just trying to understand the "behind the scenes" more.
