RGDS bios files
Hi all, I’m completely new to this so bear with me.
I’m thinking of buying the RGDS, and then installing rocknix. A couple of questions.
I only have Apple computers. Can I still flash rocknix onto the RGDS? Using balena etcher etc?
Following a couple of videos online as part of my due diligence as I’m completely new to this, you have to put bios files onto the SD card you flash rocknix onto. Where do you obtain those files? Is it necessary to order an RGDS with the extra SD card as is the option on Aliexpress etc, or can you access the bios files through the internal memory of the RGDS by plugging it into a computer?
Let me know if I’ve fundamentally misunderstood something here! Appreciate the help.

My Two RG DS first impressions
So my two RG DS consoles have arrived , Teal one ordered from Ali express (definitely faster) and my white one ordered from Anbernic Directly.
Ali unit arrived sealed in plastic wrap , the Anbernic unit was not sealed , also side note the white unit came with a couple black smudge marks on it , which wiped off easy.
First impressions
- Teal unit is glossy , white unit is matte
- Both units have sturdy hinges and don’t make noise like others have noted.
- Build quality seems good , I think I do prefer the glossy finish as it doesn’t come off as cheap compared to the matte white I have.
- Buttons , dpad and shoulder buttons all seem nice.
- Analog sticks straight up suck , thankfully I don’t really plan on using them much.

Compatibility List?
I know this is certainly not a all-rounder handheld but I wanna see how some lightweight PS2 JRPGs like .hack//Infection and Raidou run (or boot) on it, and what 3DS games are worth trying in a pinch (since I lost mine)

Missing games/platforms
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Some platforms suddenly went missing but the ROM files are still there, under the correct folders when I checked on my PC. Tried updating to the latest nightly version of Rocknix and replugged the SD card but still the same issue.

I could have fired up one of my 3D printers and made a grip but I'm digging this more.

RG DS: PS Vita stick caps fit perfectly
Device: Anbernic RG DS
Game: Zoo Keeper (NDS)
PS Vita Stick caps fit perfectly on the RG DS sticks. I found these on AliX.
NOTE: Sleep mode still engages properly when lid is closed but the lid does not close completely when the sticks are installed.
