After 700+ hours on the Remake. I’ve seen every corner of these two games, and this meme sums up exactly how I feel. The Remake didn’t try to erase what made the original special; it built on that soul. They really do feel like one masterpiece split across two eras
i have been dying over and over AND OVER again to this single dude and I'm actually stuck
i don't know if any of you feel the same but:
1-J.J Gatling Man from the original fit the mercenary militia vibe of the Island perfectly with his red beret and traditional minigun. In contrast, the Brute feels like a slasher movie archetype that fits well in the Village or Castle but can feel inconsistent in a high-tech military base honestly.
2-i honestly don't like the Brute’s Automatic Crossbow While it serves the same gameplay role as the minigun, it felt like a fantasy weapon compared to the heavy metal feel of J.J.'s Gatling gun.
3-Island Brute is essentially a reskinned version of the Bullheaded Brute you’ve already been fighting since the Village. In the original, J.J. was a unique mini-boss model exclusive to the Island, which made those encounters feel more special.
first time playing with him, barely first time playing this mode ever. only did it until I first unlocked the HC and thought after platinum and got all challenges done, I could give it a try. and oh my, I messed up big time and still got S++. Hunk is just... chief kiss!!!

I just started the Remake, I got chopped up in the first damn part!! I ran for my life in circles and trapped myself in, bro where the aura at :( I'm glad the combat is the same-ish.

First time this ever happened to me. I wanted to kill it so I was pretty bummed out when it turned out to be invincible when it's like this.

Like this game is not even my favourite game of all time. Might not even be top 3 but despite all that I just cant stop playing this game, never happened with any other game. Since it released back in 2023, I have beaten it about 8 times now, got the 100% platinum trophy and I still keep wanting more and more, Its become a yearly thing where I beat this game at least twice a year, I've never returned to a Video Game so often other than RE4. It has become my current favourite comfort game, the game where I can just shut off my brain and enjoy all the chaos and action for pure fun. RE4 Remake makes feel like home.
