[ps1] was working normally suddenly the controller stopped working while i was playing

My PS1 was working normally suddenly the controller stopped working while I was playing Pepsi man I thought the problem was from the controller. I got another one and it didn’t work i was like maybe both controllers are bad coz they so old . I went to a technician and he fixed my controller i tested the controller at his place and everything was fine. I went back home and it didn’t work again. I guess the problem is from my console what should I do?

My PSX collection so far

Started getting into collecting Ps1 games again. Most of the games here are from my childhood, especially the ones without cases. I’d like to complete a lot of those eventually. Still got a long way to go but I’m happy with what I have so far! Might make another post when I add a few more pieces to my collection.

I made a tool that automatically pixelates textures to give your 3D models that classic retro / PS1 vibe🥐

Hey everyone! 👋

I want to share a software I've been working on called Pixly Bakery. I built it specifically for indie devs and artists who want to achieve that classic retro, PS1, or "boomer shooter" aesthetic without spending hours manually editing textures.

Basically, it lets you import your 3D models or 2D images and instantly "retro-ify" them.

Here are some of the main features I’ve implemented:

  • 🎨 Real-time Pixelation & Dithering: Import models/textures and tweak pixelation levels, apply various dithering algorithms (Bayer, White Noise, etc.), and adjust contrast/exposure on the fly.
  • 🕹️ Color Palette Restriction: Force your textures to use classic palettes like Commodore 64, Windows 95, Gameboy, or custom ones to get that authentic retro hardware limitation look.
  • 👾 3D to 2D Sprite Generator: You can load a 3D model and generate ready-to-use isometric or side-view 2D sprite sheets directly from the program. Perfect for 2.5D or classic RTS/RPG games.
  • ⚡ Workflow & Batching: It has a multi-tab system so you can work on several assets at once, plus batch exporting to save time.

I've attached some GIFs and a Before/After of how it looks in action!

I'd absolutely love to hear what you guys think, any feedback, or features you'd like to see added. If you want to try it out or support the project, you can find it on my itch io page here:

PSn00bSDK question (SMD models)

Anybody using PSn00bSDK for 3D? I'm having problems with the SMD model libraries. I can load and render SMD models present in the demo that comes in the SDK example (for example the bulb.smd), but when I try with my own models I get nothing, black screen and neither the background is rendering (empty VRAM after loading some textures so something is very wrong). I'm exporting SMX with the blender plugin and linking it with smxlink, both in the SDK , but I also tried exporting RSD with an old blender version, and converting it with smxtool and smxlink... both methods fail. The thing is that if I try to relink the bulb.smx present in the SDK demo for example, I get an error and the linking fails... so something is very wrong.
