Criteria: I calculated the average of the rankings of MetalStorm, Rateyourmusic and AOTY for each one of the best albums ranked and this is the result. Due the three sites use different rating systems I decided to use this method instead of the average of the ratings.

Observations:

-All of these 35 albums, coincidentally, are part of the top 100 metal albums of each site.

- The final top 4 albums are part of the top 7 metal albums of each website. In other words, those 4 albums are the undisputed best 4 albums, they are too ahead of the rest.

- The number 1 in AOTY ranking, Toxicity by System of a Down, was not included because it's not part of the top 200 in Metalstorm. This ranking is about the average of the three sites.

- The number 36 and 37 are None So Vile by Cryptopsy and Arise by Sepultura, respectively. After that, it's very hard to know which are the next ones on the list, things get very messy from there with this method.

I know Fates Warning since the very beginning of my metal journey, decades ago, I remember being fascinated with their first albums and John Arch's voice. Later, I started to apreciate their albums post John Arch's era: songs like Monument were incredible innovative and something like avant-garde for those times. Still, they are kinda being ignored somehow for the metal community in general.
