One more week to see Blu 32
I am so lucky a work trip allowed me to see DC and the glory that is his magic show this week. Some one from my team gave me an extra ticket for free, and the price was right. From the awkward banter, inebriated volunteers, creepy alien, and overly romantic T-Rex, I can finally appreciate all of the discussion around this majestical show. I can't imagine paying hundreds of dollars for tickets, but at least we all can look forward to him eventually making the moon disappear (still being teased as his dream, because we should dream big and love, or something)!
While some of his illusions were mind boggling, I was too distracted by his stilted delivery of his lines, awkward references to his past, and overly affectionate alien to truly gasp at the random appearance of a car, UFO, or dinosaur. Though my favorite part was during a trick where random audience members would pick lottery numbers, the black man who selected some numbers apparently had to go to the restroom between giving the numbers and being told to go on stage. So the crew members picked another random black man to fill his place as if the audience would just believe it was the same black man.
